A noise that got louder and louder. Are they mingled and the sound of several cars. Everything was so incredibly hot. Ava only opened her eyes slightly and was immediately blinded. It took a few seconds for them to get used to the light. A roof. It was on some roof, in any city in any country. She got up a little dazed and looked around. It had to be some city in Italy. Ava couldn't quite understand what people were talking about, but at least she recognized the language. The ancient buildings around them were unmistakable. Rome. She was in Rome and had no idea why. What Ava knew she had to get out of here.

Hours later she had found something to go underground to go out of the way. Ava had let several newspapers go along on the way. She studied each side of it attentively. An angel Adriel was reported everywhere. Ava felt like she was drinking too much last night and now had a film tear. She tried hard to remember. Some things seemed familiar to her in the articles. Fighting figures in cloaks, a killed angel and a fallen church. She just had no idea why and where from. She went through everything again and again until late at night. Information that she considered important was noted by Ava on an empty page. Although it was not a strenuous activity, she was visibly exhausted and lay down.

Everything was white and cold. Loneliness and grief surrounded them. Fighting, Ava put one foot in front of the other. She opened her mouth to say something, but it wasn't her voice that sounded. "I can't." Suddenly she was standing in a little illuminated room, opposite another woman. Ava came closer to her and kissed her, shortly afterwards everything disappeared and she saw the woman through a curtain again. "I love you." she said. Several pictures took turns and showed countless moments. Suddenly Ava was alone in an infinite nothing and heard a voice more clearly than everything she had heard before. "The mission, Ava." Again and again the words repeated each other.

Ava startled. Sweaty and out of breath she tried to put the pictures together. Everything suddenly became clear. Where she came from, why she was there and why she was back. One thing was like a stone in her stomach. The woman. She could also remember Ava. Beatrice. If she thought of her name, she felt a huge loss, felt a huge one, she absolutely had to see you again. She immediately jumped up and collected all the cards where each place marked them where they were. The monastery, the temple and the bar in the Alps. It was not particularly difficult to find out where the OCS was currently interacting. The fight against Adriel was still on the title page of every newspaper and everywhere in the news, including the OCS. Mysterious women, including the OCS. Fought. Everyone who knew about the existence of the OCS only had to add up one and one. Within a few days, Ava had collected half a dozen of pictures, articles and cards. Now she didn't want anything more than Beatrice and the others.
It took a day trip until she finally ran undetected on the street to the monastery. Each step accelerated her pulse and the nervousness rose immeasurably. Of course Ava was happy to see her again, but no one was allowed to see her. Nothing could endanger their mission. Not. Once Ava's feelings about Beatrice. When she arrived in front of the gate, she paused for a moment before becoming invisible with the halo and simply walking through the big door. She had expected nothing more than new young nuns who trained in the courtyard. With a stern look and a staff in hand, Lillith stood in front of a group that was doing pushups. Dora and Camila trained a little apart with boxing gloves. No trace of Beatrice, however. Ava purposefully ran towards the front door. Bea was untraceable. In the library, Yasmine rolled books and mother superior planned the next missions in her office with Vincent. Of course, she listened inconspicuously for a few minutes and memorized all the documents that were distributed on the table. Some locations marked were also on Avas to-do list. But her main attention was in the search for Beatrice. The emerging exhaustion was a more than clear sign that Ava didn't have for too long. When Ava came closer to the smaller training room, the voice finally came into her ear, which she hadn't heard for too long.

"That I couldn't prevent Adriel's freedom!" Immediately after Beatrice's angry exclamation came a dull blow. "That I couldn't prevent Ava from being kidnapped!" Boom. "That I couldn't catch her when she fell!" Boom.

Ava reached the room and saw Beatrice in tears and obviously completely exhausted still entered the punching bag and beat. It almost broke the heart. The black fabric of her habit was soaked in sweaty on Beatrice's body. Under other circumstances it would have been hot and sexy. Had tormented himself the last few days and hours.

"That I was only allowed to kiss her once!" Boom. "That she denied me the decision!" Boom. "That I couldn't tell her what I was feeling!" Boom. "I'm angry that she is gone and I can't do anything!" Boom.

Completely exhausted and crying, Beatrice sank to the ground. Ava would have wished for anything more than to take her in her arms and kiss every single tear from her beautiful face. Ava could get a few steps closer to her before she had enough strength to use a halo. Be. Just running away, she could still hear Beatrice's sobs.

„Ava?"

Unsure whether Bea had heard her, she gasped outside. What the hell was that? How long has Beatrice been so ... broken? Everything she said made sense and Ava could understand everything. Of course, Ava could not deny to finish the decision alone, to have made it alone. Everyone should have stunned themselves, but they just couldn't risk someone being injured or even killed. As Mother Oberin had said, had already done so herself and would also decide exactly the same way. Therefore, Ava did not regret this decision for a minute for everyone and had given up a possible relationship with Bea. The fact of not being able to speak openly to her and being close to her was nowhere near as bad as another scenario. Visiting Beatrice and the others next to Shannon in the crypt and only seeing their names on stones would have been hell on earth. Before this could possibly happen, she had to finish her mission.
