How exhausted everyone looked when they gradually came together for breakfast. Everything seemed to be fine between Camila and Yasmine, unlike Beatrice and Ava. The two avoided each other's glances and hadn't exchanged a word yet. While everyone was eating their breakfast, the conversations slowly came. Mother Superior didn't notice much of it, but couldn't overhear the conversation between Yasmine and Ava.

"What happened between you?"

"Sex," Ava said dryly.

Horrified by the directness and the idea that Ava and Beatrice were having sex, Mother Superior spat out some of her tea and choked. Coughing, she now had the attention of the entire room.

"Excuse me. Ava! Could you please discuss such conversations in private?"

She noticed how Beatrice looked at her plate in shame. Ava nodded and turned back to her toast. It was obvious that something was wrong between the two. Suzanne never noticed much, but enough to know what was going on between her Nuns. As soon as they joined them in Madrid from the Alps, you could see how much closer Ava and Beatrice had become. An extraordinarily good team. Obviously more than just that, and to Suzanne's surprise, she was in favor of the relationship between them. A while ago, she had already made this point clear, but her position was still somewhat off-putting to those present. It was also difficult for her to understand and internalize that all the strict rules came from humans and were now void in religion.
Now finished with breakfast, everyone put away their dishes before gathering in their meeting room.

"What are we going to do?" asked Mother Superior, when no one made any effort to speak.

"It's best to start at first," Beatrice growled.

Everyone understood what she was getting at and looked at Ava. She got up and came to the front. She looked at her hesitantly. Suzanne nodded encouragingly to get her started.

"As I said before, I can't tell and explain everything. Even though I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Adriel on one point: there are things we don't understand. We will never understand them either. When I was there, I tried to get answers. I got them too, but so vague that they only raised more questions. I was given some hints for the future. Not just for mine, for everyone and individuals. It's not for me to talk about it in this group, but I'm going to talk to you individually. Then I found out about the other person who, like Adriel before, will cause us problems and even worse ones. As everyone in this room already knows, just about everything from the other side is magical in some way. This guy has abilities like the halo gives me. However, he doesn't need a halo for it and is even more powerful, as I'm sure you've noticed."

"That's a joke?" Lilith asked. "Ava, this man finished us off. We didn't had even a chance."

"Who is he?"

Ava looked at Beatrice.

"He's on the same level as Reya. With the difference that he is evil and stronger than Adriel has been."

Now Suzanne was also curious and wanted to know more. "What can he do? What skills does he have?"

Ava hesitated and crossed her arms over her chest.

"It's more complicated. He can do things with his thoughts. How..."

"Breaking glass roofs, moving things or playing with other people's heads." Beatrice looked down.

"We can't take on him alone. Even with Ava and her even better and more versatile powers, it's still close to impossible," Lilith interjected.

"She's right," Camila agreed.

"He spanked our asses."

"Remember your choice of words, Lilith!" she admonished Suzanne. "We need help. We agree on that. In the last few months we have been able to recruit and train some new sisters. However, they still have to do with local struggles."
