Ava was more than surprised. She hadn't really expected Beatrice's directness and openness on this subject. She had waited so long, often wished for it and imagined Bea telling her to reciprocate her feelings. Still, it wasn't that easy. They could never be completely together. Her mission would demand everything from her and put her in danger, in which she did not want to see Beatrice in any way. If someone found out how much Bea meant to her and what she would do for her love, it would be food for future enemies. There was also a reason why a relationship with Beatrice would end as quickly as it would start. Before Ava could say anything, Beatrice interrupted her.

"Bea I..."

"Please, don't say anything. Don't break it again."

Even if she wanted to, Ava couldn't say anything because Lilith burst in. As if struck by lightning, they drove apart and the entire familiar atmosphere was gone.

"Can't you knock damn it?!"

Great. With that, the whole intimate atmosphere was gone. Beatrice didn't seem to think it too bad and started laughing.

"Pay attention to your choice of words! Beatrice, you should come. We have a decision to make."

Just as grimly as she stormed in, she left again. It was no surprise that they wanted to consult. Not even twenty-four hours did they know of their return. Of course, they wouldn't just say yes and amen to everything and do what Ava wanted. Without letting long pass, Beatrice stood up and stretched. A little further and Ava was sure Bea would tear off all the ligaments.

"Bea. This conversation is not over for me."

"But for me, yes. For now."

Ava sighed. She would have loved to talk about it further, but Beatrice was right, it was not the right time. When she also wanted to get up, she faltered a little.

"Be careful!"

Beatrice was immediately on the spot and held her by the upper arm. So that she did not fall over, Bea pulled her closer to her. Their faces were so incredibly close. Ava would just have to lean forward a little and could cover those incredibly beautiful lips with hers. Both did not dare to breathe. Every spot on Ava's body tingled where she touched Bea and even through the layers of clothing she could feel the warmth. Beatrice seemed to feel the same way. Again and again her eyes wandered from Avas to her lips and back. They could have stayed for hours, but it would have been questionable whether Ava could hold back for too long.

"We... We should... We should go."

Beatrice's breathy stutter gave Ava goosebumps. She had to pull herself together.

"Yes. Yes, I think so."

Bea broke away first and ran off to the others without hesitation. Ava herself stopped for another minute and gave herself a slap in the face in her mind. Also arrived at the others, everyone was already sitting at the tables pushed together. The ongoing conversation fell silent when they saw Ava.

"Alright, I'm not eavesdropping on you. Relax again."

It took a moment for Mother Superior to speak and break the awkward silence.

"Ava, I think you should sit with us. There are still a few inconsistencies that you should explain to us in more detail."

As requested, Ava sat on the only free seat between Lilith and Yasmine. Chronologically, she told everything and yet deliberately omitted some details.

"If we want to achieve that, how did you imagine our help?" asked Lilith.

"I have to start in the Vatican. It's not just the building that's being rebuilt and this is my chance. I'm the only one who can convey everything credibly after shit pulled off Adriel. But I can't get in there alone. That is the first point. The second is mediation between the Church and the whole world. Everything is turned upside down and that has consequences."

"What exactly do you mean by conveying?" Beatrice was irritated again.

"To put it bluntly: I will be the new face of the Church or more or less a follower of Jesus. This means you must not show your connection to me so openly. All responsibility is mine, not you."

"We are a team, so the responsibility is distributed." Camila looked resolutely into the round.

"We all need to prepare for this. This place is ideal for that. Enough space and possibilities. But we will need time."

"Slow Lilith. But you're right. We will make plans and prepare for everything imaginable. Yasmine and Camila, you take care of the organization. Lilith and Beatrice, you two are going to train. Ava? What about you?"

Mother Superior and the others looked at her expectantly. "I'm preparing for my part."

"If we stay here for a while, can we make it a little more comfortable? Not? Okay."

Yasmime's proposal was not a bad one at all. Everyone had to be able to feel comfortable in order to perform well. Not long and the list of errands was written, plans for the perfection of their location were drawn up and the room allocation clarified. As much as Ava was happy to spend the nights with Beatrice again, it would certainly be difficult to hide some things from her. Fortunately, your feelings no longer so. After a short snack, everyone devoted themselves to their tasks and looked for the most suitable place. Beatrice and Lilith fought in the hall. Yasmine, Camila and Mother Superior took care of all organizational and technical matters. Ava herself stood on the roof of the building, working on her skills with the halo. The first steps were show. She had to convince everyone that she really was a chosen one. Flying, invisibility and targeted energy impulses were on her tracksuit. Between the skylights, Ava sprints across the roof. The burning sensation in her lungs and the dwindling strength in her legs were all things she had missed in some time on the other side. The fresh wind that ruffled her hair. The sun that had been burning down all day. Everything that didn't exist there and made life here so special. With a bang she pushed herself off the roof and shortly afterwards hovered about fifty meters above the ground. For a brief moment she could forget everything and enjoy the beautiful view of the grounds. Ava absorbs calmness with every fiber of your body. Exhausted and exhausted, Ava leaned her forehead against the cool tiles and let the ice-cold water rain down her body. It wasn't ideal, but the best thing she'd had since her return. Ava had never showered in a large shower in a gym before, but didn't think it was bad at all. Forgetful as she was, Ava had forgotten to take her fresh clothes with her and had to walk to her room in her underwear. Still happily humming the melody of a song of which she knew neither the lyrics nor the title. The others had come and helped her. Beatrice felt the same as her and even shared the bed with her. At the moment, nothing could destroy her good mood. Still lost in thought of Bea, Ava put on her pants and didn't notice anyone entering the room.

"Ava!"

Startled, she turned around and looked into the wide-open eyes of her roommate.
