11th, September 1991.

Ever since I've been sorted into Slytherin me and my brother haven't really talked. To be fair we were in separate houses after all. Though it still bothered me.

He was all I had after all. and merely I was all he had. We had each other. Though nowadays it seems as though Ron and Hermione where his family now. And I was simply a burden on the outside. Wanting in.

Though I tried to push those helpless thoughts away as I entered my first class of the day. Which was potions with professor Snape the head of my house.

With little to no empty seats left i swiftly made my way to the back of the class and took a seat next to a unknown Ravenclaw student.

He smiled at me politely before pulling out her textbooks. I quickly smiled back at the boy before pulling my textbooks out as well.

Soon professor Snape had entered the classroom with his obnoxiously long black cloak following behind him with every swift motion he took.

"Good morning class" professor Snape said in his deep and croaky voice. "Today I will ask all of you a few simple questions. Which I expect all of you to know, if after all you read your books as I asked" professor Snape said in his normal intimidating tone.

"Very well then. Can any one Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to and infusion of wormwood?" Professor Snape questioned as he looked upon his students for a simple answer.

Though when he did not find a single hand raised  in the air he huffed in dissatisfaction. "Care to tell us the answer Mrs. Potter?" Professor Snape said causing all of the students in the room to snap their attention to me.

At the mention of my name I looked up from my book and looked at Snape in horror as I did not know the answer. Though a guess wouldn't do me wrong now could now would it?

"A sleeping potion?" I said. Though it came out more as a question than anything. "Very good Mrs. Potter. And what is the professional name for this... sleeping potion?" Snape said as he walked over to my table sleekly.

"Draught of Living Death" I answered unsurely. Though at my answer being correct I could have sworn I saw a slight smile appear on Snape's face. Though I must be seeing things.

"Very well once again Mrs. Potter. 10 points to Slytherin" professor Snape said before walking away from my table alas.

I sighed in relief before slumping back in my chair. Though we where a good 3 months into school by now I couldn't help but still feel frightened by Snape.

I mean who wouldn't. He was always oddly calm as though he simply hadn't had a care in the world. As though he had nothing worth living or even dying for. Which scared me most.

After a rough double potions class I swiftly made my way to the great hall for lunch in hopes of arriving first. Though that hope was snatched away as I was one of the last student to arrive.

I huffed in disappointment before walking over to my house table and taking a seat before filling my plate with little amounts of food as for I hadn't really had much of an appetite.

Just as I was about to take a bite out of my sandwich I saw Harry quickly making his way over to me with a look of despair on his face.

Once he arrived to my table he cleared his throat slightly before motioning his head to the door of the great hall.

After taking a minute to process what he wanted I nodded understandably before standing up from my seat and following Harry out of the great hall and into the now empty corridors.
