"Narcissa's boy, eh?"

———

The early morning sun had not risen, yet y/n was sat on a window sill, watching the scenery with dazed eyes, her mind only thinking to one thing, one person, Draco.

Y/n didn't know if she were to feel hatred towards him, or love. Though for some odd reason, she felt both, and she absolutely hated it.

"You alright, y/n?" Asked Sirius, entering the sitting room in which y/n was also in. For the first time in hours y/n diverted her gaze from the window, her eyes lighting up when she saw Sirius.

"Yes," she smiled. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason." Said Sirius, slowly yet steadily progressing towards the window y/n was sat at.

Y/n nodded before looking away from Sirius, allowing her gaze to settle outside the window once again, her mood seeming to drop dramatically.

The silence in the room bored Sirius utterly, though he stayed for his god daughter. Making sure he closely scanned her demeanor.

Soon enough, Sirius came to realization that y/n was distressed by something, it must surely be her hearing, Sirius thought.

"Tell me what's on your mind, lil's." Sirius sighed after some time.

Y/n looked to Sirius exasperatedly. "I simply can't." Y/n shook her head. "Is it about your hearing?" Sirius asked; y/n shook her head.

"Your brother?" Y/n shook her head once more. "Grades?" Same reply. Sirius thought for a second, before finally speaking again.

"A boy?" Y/n didn't reply. She didn't want to talk to her fathers best friend about boys, that's simply odd, not to mention she saw Sirius as a parental figure.

"Tell me about him, I don't need a name, Lily." Said Sirius, sitting across from his goddaughter. "What exactly is there so say?" Y/n scoffed.

"You can start by telling me what you like about this. . . Boy." Sirius grinned at the girl ahead of him, lovingly.

"There's not much to like about him, Sirius. It's all to love." Y/n shook her head, finally turning to look at Sirius.

"Oh, so what we are talking about is love, now is it?" Sirius's eyes widened slightly; y/n nodded.

"Does anyone know?" Sirius asked patiently. "No, and it's going to stay that way." Y/n said shortly.

"And why's that? Dear." Asked Sirius, taking y/n's small hands into his. "He's not typically. . . The best person to love, Pads." Y/n sighed.
