Y/n had been laying in her beds for hours now, she hadn't fallen asleep, due to the fact she simply didn't want to.

Because; if she where to go asleep, that means that one specific nightmare would haunt her, she didn't want that to happen. So, she simply didn't sleep.

Instead she would lay in her bed until she had to get up. Though that time would be hours away. So, the young witch decided on reading instead.

Y/n sighed vaguely as she threw her duvets off her body, her feet reaching the cold contents of the wooden floors.

Y/n shivered, pulling her hoodie closer to her body as she walked over to her trunk, whereupon she un-did the latches before scanning through her collection of books, settling on her favorite; pride and prejudice.

Y/n, who now had a downtown smile on her lips, walked over to her bed, her book held closely to her palms.

Finally, when the girl reached her bed she flopped down onto the surface, her book landing on her chest.

Once she had situated herself into a comfortable position, she grabbed her book and opened it to her marked page, the spine creasing ever so slightly as she did so.

As y/n let herself get sucked into the words of her favorite book, she couldn't help but feel her mood lift, every time she read this book, or any book at all. It was like a rainbow after a storm, and she loved it.

Though due to a small rumble being heard throughout Harry and y/n's room, the girl couldn't help but divert her eyes from her precious book.

That was when she saw the source of the rumbling, it was the door of their bedroom, the key was being jangled with.

Y/n, her mind going utterly blank, quickly closed her book before placing it on her nightstand, in return, she grabbed her wand before pacing over to Harry's bed, whereupon she shook him awake.

"Harry!" She girl whisper shouted, no response. "Harry!" The girl repeated herself, this time Harry arose from his slumber, his bed head looking as terrible as ever.

"Whot?" Harry murmured sleepily. Though as the rumbling progressed, he received his answer. His gaze immediately flew to their door, whereupon he saw the key turning in its hole.

Harry immediately shot up from his bed, picked his wand up, and shoved y/n behind him all while he pointed his wand to the door, preparing himself for whatever was to come.

Finally, when the door of their bedroom swung open, and they where met with the end of another wand, in which a blinding light formed. that preparation faded.
