Summer of 1995, Third person point of view.
•"Whatever happens, don't leave the house."•———
The summer days' heat was almost unbearable. The sun shone brightly, and the sky was a clear blue, without a single cloud in sight.
The air was thick and humid, making it difficult to breathe. The heat radiated off the asphalt and concrete, making it almost painful to walk on.
Though Despite the heat, the sounds of children playing on the playground was almost to loud to not hear.
Y/n groaned, swinging back and fourth in a swing she was currently sat on. The young witch looked over to Harry, who was staring off into the distance.
Y/n grinned at her brother lovingly, before she allowed her gaze to follow Harry's. Whereupon she was met with the sight of a young girl and boy conversing with— what's seemed to be— their mother.
"I'll make you your favorite dinner to compensate," the young mother bribed her children.
Y/n, who's eyes where no longer on the family found their way to Harry's stiffened demeanor. She took ahold of his hand, showing him that she was there.
Harry sighed, looking over to his beloved sister beside him. He scanned her relaxed font before a sad smile broke out onto his face.
"Do you ever wonder-" harry began, though immediately cut himself off when he realized how ridiculous his question where oughta to sound.
"I do," y/n replied, already knowing what Harry was referring to. "It would be much different if they were here." The girl rocked hers and Harry's intertwined hands back and fourth.
"Is it possible to miss a person you don't even know?" Harry asked, his head leaning on the chain beside him. "It is," y/n nodded, a faint smile playing at her lips.
Harry smiled back at his sister, letting a comfortable silence arise. "I miss them, our parents" Harry sighed, his tired eyes falling to his and y/n's intertwined hands.
"I do to, Harry," y/n spoke, thinking of how things could have been different if the night of October 31st, 1981 hadn't happened.
Y/n's thoughts where true, it would be much different if that tonight hadn't happened. They'd have a full family. Not broken promises.
Harry, who was thinking the same thing as y/n looked up, only to see Dudley and his foolish group of muggle friends, Harry immediately felt himself tense up.
"Hey, big D" came Harry's voice, causing y/n to look up from the ground full of mulch. Y/n smirked in triumph. "Beat up another ten year old?" Y/n asked, feeding into Harry's previous words.
