Christmas of 1994,
"Happy Christmas y/n!" A cheerful Valery threw herself into the seat beside me, a small box in her hands. I looked to my side and smiled at the girl widely.
"Happy Christmas, Valery" I grinned, pulling out a box from my side as well. "Want to exchange presents?" Valery asked hopefully, to which I nodded my head vigorously.
So, with wide grins on the both of our faces me and Valery exchanged the gifts we got each other.
I scanned the all to familiar black box with green ribbon, I felt a light smile appear on my face as the memory of last Christmas impaled my thoughts, it was the day Draco had gotten me my favorite necklace.
Though I don't wear it anymore due to certain circumstances. "Well open it!" Valery exclaimed eagerly as she eyed me up and down impatiently.
I chuckled at the girl lightly before I allowed my fingers to fiddle with the ribbon, and finally untie the package.
With no more barriers I pulled the top off the box off, and was met with the sight of two beautiful rings, both of them matching.
I pulled out one of the rings and looked at the letters imbedded on it. "Y/I'" I smiled widely at the ring I held closely to my palm before I pulled out the other ring.
"V. A. V" the ring held Valery's initials. "You didn't," I spoke in utter amazement, my broad smile yet to leave my cheeks. "I did" Valery spoke graciously.
I dropped the rings into the box and pulled Valery into a bone crushing hug. "I love it!" I exclaimed, swinging me and Valery back and fourth.
"I thought you would," Valery chuckled, her hand extending to rub my back. Once I had pulled away from mine and Valery's embrace I handed her the ring designated to her, and slipped my own ring onto my finger.
"I will quite literally cherish this forever," i claimed, my eyes yet to leave the beautiful green ring on middle finger.
"As will I," said Valery as she slipped her own ring onto her middle finger. "Ok, open mine now" I said, excitedly.
Valery grinned at me in excitement before she reached for my present, and within moments the package was opened, and Valery's hand was covering her mouth.
Valery peered down at the locket In her hand, that locket containing a moving photo of me, her, pansy, Draco, Blaise, Theodore, Arlington and Enzo. It was our whole friend group—minus that bitch Astoria—.
"I love it!" She exclaimed, her eyes finally leaving the locket in order to meet mine. "How did you make this?" Valery's hand left her mouth, though her jaw was still to the floor.
"I have connections" I grinned mischievously before letting a light chuckle escape my lips. "Well regardless i love it," Valery claimed, a grin of appreciation on her face.
"Help me put it on will you?" She asked, already moving her hair out of the way. I nodded quickly before taking the locket from Valery's hands and bringing it to her neck, whereupon I clipped the two ends together, letting it droop across her chest.
"Perfect," i muttered, my eyes stuck on the rose gold locket in front of me. "You think?" Valery peered down at the neckless on her chest.
"Yes!" I exclaimed, my smile brighter than ever. Valery smiled at me kindly. "Wher-" I began though was rudely cut off.
"Valery, y/n," Blaises voice rang throughout my ears, causing me to turn around. "Is everything alright?" I scanned the boy's panicked features.
"No, I need you to come with me now," Blaise said, his eyes full of fear. I looked to Valery, who was already looking at me. Before I grabbed ahold of her hand and lifted her off the couch.
