1993,

"Professor Lupins truly leaving?" Valery asked, to which I nodded in despair. I didn't want Lupin to leave. Though all thanks to professor Snape he was.

"That sucks, I really liked him" Valery sighed, a saddened expression on her face. "Me as well" I said as my eyes skimmed across the great hall and finally landed on Harry.

"Hey Valery, I'm going to go talk to Harry, I'll meet you in the common room?" I asked as I stood up from the Slytherin table, though Valery soon grabbed me by my robes.

"Y/n, be safe. The last time you went off with Harry you landed yourself in the hospital wing and your still recovering, besides we need to pack, we are leaving Tomorrow " Valery said. A stern look on her face.

"It's fine, it's not like I'm going to go fight goblins" i said, pushing Valery's comment off as though it where nothing. "Alright, if your not in the common room by 8 o'clock tonight I'm coming looking for you." Valery said as she pointed her finger at me.

To which I returned with a slight chuckle before sparing her one last look and walking off. "I'll see you in the common room!" I called out to the girl before finally making my way over to the Gryffindor table.

Whereupon I took a seat beside Harry. "We going?" I asked, to which Harry nodded before standing up from his seat and eating for me to do the same. Though it truly didn't take long before I did.

And within moments the two of us where walking out of the great hall, a pep in our step.

Me and Harry walked in uttermost silence before we came to a stop at the door of the DADA classroom to which we soon pushed it open and allowed ourselves in.

Whereupon we where met with the sight of Lupins office door open, and what looks like lupin his self packing up frantically.

Me and Harry sighed heavily before making our way up the steps to his office and waiting by the door, though when he didn't notice our presence Harry went to knock on the door. Though lupin answered before he could even do so.

"Hello y/n' and Harry" lupin said, not even having to look at us to know who we where. "I saw the two of you coming" he claimed, to which me and Harry nodded, not needing a further explanation.

"You've sacked." Harry said, though it came out as more of a question. "No, I resigned." Lupin corrected. To which Harry furrowed his eyebrows.

"Resigned? Why?" Harry asked, "it seems that somebody let slip the nature of my condition. This time tomorrow the owls will start arriving and parents will not want a eh-" lupin said before pausing shortly.

"Well, someone like me teaching their children" lupin finished, a bit of hurt in his voice as he did so. "But Dumbledore-" Harry began, though lupin wouldn't let him finish.

"Dumbledores already risked enough." Lupin claimed. "Besides people... like me are-" lupin said before pausing her again. "Let's just say I'm used to it by now" lupin informed as he packed up his suitcase and pulled at its hinges.

"Why do the two of you look so miserable?" Lupin asked as his gaze shifted from me to Harry repeatedly. "None of it made a difference, pettigrew escaped." Harry answered before I myself could.

"Didn't make a difference?" Lupin stated in disbelief as he lowered himself into his desk. "Harry it made all the difference in the world, you and y/n  helped uncover the truth you two saved an innocent man from a terrible fate. You guys made a great deal of difference" lupin chuckled lightly.

"If I am proud of anything" lupin said as he walked upon his room, pacing up a few of his things on the way. "It would be how much you and y/n learned this year. Now, since I am no longer your teacher I feel no quilt whatsoever to be giving this back to you" lupin said as he pulled the marauders map out of of his pockets.
