1994, Second task, third person point of view
"Welcome to the second task!"———
"Your sure about this Neville?" Harry asked unsurely. "Absolutely" Neville replied, though it did sound as confident as Neville had anticipated.
"For an hour?" Harry went on. "Most likely," Neville applied, finally handing Harry the gilly weed he had promised him the previous night.
"Most likely?" Harry asked nervously. "Well, there is some debates among herbologists, as to the effects of fresh water versus salt water but—" Neville began, though was soon cut off by Harry.
"Your telling me this now?" Asked Harry angrily. "You must be joking" Harry scoffed, his mind tracing to all the bad things that could happen if this gilly weed was unsuccessful.
"I-I just wanted to help" stuttered Neville self-consciously. "Well that makes you a right better sight than Hermione and y/n" Harry scoffed, his doubts getting the best of him.
"Ron?" Harry asked, gaining the attention of the wizard beside him. "Yeah?" Ron replied, his gaze set firmly on the food in his hand.
"Have you seen y/n or Hermione by chance?" Harry asked hopefully. "No, I haven't since last night." Ron answered. "Try asking Vineyard she might know," shrugged Ron before he shoved the rest of his food into his mouth.
Harry, who now had a new idea in mind, nodded his head before he grabbed ahold of Ron's free hand and and pulled him away from
Neville."Sorry Neville! I've got to go handle something real quickly!" Harry called out before Neville could protest. Though when was that likely?
" I didn't mean literally Harry, she's surrounded by Slytherins!" Said Ron, his gaze set on the pack of Slytherins around Valery.
"So? Valery and y/n are Slytherins," addressed Harry. "Yeah, well they are kind, I'm not so sure about the others" Ron replied skeptically.
Though it was to late, as for the two wizards where soon to arrive behind Valery. "Vineyard," Ron cleared his throat after some time, causing the witch to turn around and face the two wizards.
"Can I help you?" Valery asked kindly, at least her soft tone made it sound kind. "Yeah, actually. I was wondering if you've seen my sister by chance? Or Hermione?" Harry prompted, earning a look of confusion from Valery.
"No, not since early yesterday." Answered Valery skeptically, it was obvious she was onto the boys. "I thought they were with you, where they not?" Valery asked, crossing her arms across her chest.
