A/N: This chapter is a bit intense, like I said the rest of the book would be. There is blood in the chapter, and someone doesn't make it out. So yeah, you've been warned! Anyway enjoy!

3rd Person POV

The sun above Al Mazrah was beginning to set, and below, time itself felt like it had stopped. Chimera was anxious for what was about to happen, as was
Y/N. Each of them sat surrounded by their teams; one was surrounded by love and friendship while the other was full of cold-hearted evil. They were two sides of the same coin, but one had abandoned reason for revenge, and now the stage was set for a showdown. Price was also visibly on edge; his former teammate and son were about to come face-to-face again. Ghost and Soap were doing their best to stay focused and calm, and neither let Y/N out of their sight the entire day. The sun felt like hope for 141 and Apex, and as it began to set, everyone felt cold, as if hope were fading from the world. Chimera was in place somewhere nearby, and only his elite soldiers had any idea where he was while the others were simply told to stay on track. Price found Y/N placing the bag of explosives in the back of the UTV, since it was faster than most vehicles and Y/N would use it for his part of the mission.

"You ready?" Price asked as he approached.

"Not really. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous."

"I know, let's just get this over with fast and hope Kate can track something back to his base."

"Then what? If we find them and him, what do we do? Do we track him down and kill him?" Y/N was on edge but still managed to hold himself together.

"We do what we have to, but I hope it doesn't come to that." Price replied as König approached, drawing something in his little sketch book.

"Ah, Captain Price!" König greeted them happily as Reyes and Gaz walked out, deep in conversation.

"Be ready to move out soon, the convoy should be leaving soon." Price smiled softly as he patted König on the shoulder and headed towards the chop top.

"Are you ready, sir?" König asked, tucking the pencil and book away in his vest.

"Ready as I ever will be, big guy." Y/N smiled as Reyes walked over, sitting in the drivers seat while König sat in the back.

Ghost and Soap walked out last from the old house and instantly walked over to Y/N, who was about to climb into the passenger's seat. He stopped when he noticed the other two walking over and met them halfway. All three wore similar outfits, but Y/N decided not to wear his mask, instead clipping it to his belt and only wearing the bottom part of the mask. Soap had his red skull mask on and Ghost had settled on camo uniform with a matching cape and white skull mask.

"I don't know where you keep getting all these outfits from, Simon." Y/N laughed.

"That's my secret." He replied.

"I like that we match! Let's everyone know we are together." Soap smiled, pulling Y/N into a hug.

"I like it too. Be careful, okay?" Y/N smiled and moved to hug Ghost.

"Make sure you are careful too." Ghost replied.

Y/N nodded, smiling back at the two members of 141, and climbed into the seat next to Reyes. Y/N confirmed with Price over the radio that they were ready. Price responded as everyone checked in to make sure their communications were working properly. Y/N took a deep breath as his hand held onto the mask Simon had given him. Reyes looked for the confirmation, and Y/N gave it a nod of approval without taking his eyes off the horizon ahead.

"For Nova." Y/N whispered.

The UTV started up and began to head down the hill as 141 followed close behind. The point where they would intercept the convoy was along the main highway through Al Mazrah. This part of the highway led from the docks past the quarry and towards Al Mazrah City, but stopped and turned off towards the mountains before it reached the abandoned metropolis. Apex and 141 would attack the transports just before the quarry and hopefully stop the majority of the vehicles. Y/N held his breath as the cars began to level out near the top of
Mt. Zaya. Y/N was the first to see the line of black vehicles below, calling out to Price, who was a little behind.
