I Told You

It started with the subtle things,

Like how I looked pretty when I cried

But then it became more

You lied to me, even when I knew otherwise

To my face

Continuously

To the point, I began questioning myself

You reminded me so much of my dad

In every possible way

But the most when you were angry

You have his temper

Something I never imagined I could witness again

Not after what it did to me

I told you I could never make you happy

But I guess you never believed me

Cause why would you ever be with someone who couldn't dance the way you wanted?

A/N: This poem was based on a conversation I had with someone a couple of days ago and writing this was my way of releasing my anger. This was a personal poem that I was a little skeptic all of sharing but I hope you all enjoy!
