If I could go back to the day I first met you
I would apologize in advance for hurting you
And tell you the apology will make sense soon, just to be patient
I would beg for your forgiveness even though you will be very confused
And ask for another chance,
Because the way I will hurt you will make you see that I don't deserve one
And as much as you would want to hold onto what we have
Sending mixed signals back and forth
I would never be able to live with myself if I didn't apologize in advance
I would tell you maybe it's better that things didn't work out between us
And you will just nod your head unable to find the right words to say
If I could go back to the day I first met you,
I would learn to cherish every moment we have, home on longer to every word you would say, and tell you I loved you and wish you could be mines
