I will be privileged enough to call you

We met at the wrong time yet everything about you
feels so right
You have me feeling genuine feelings
Like a schoolgirl who has a crush on the hottest guy in school
And in my eyes that's exactly how I see you
I told you that maybe it was best that we met when we did
But I could hear and sense the disappointment in your voice when you replied 'yeah'
Time never seemed to be in my favor
for a lot of things in my life
But you are one thing I won't ever regret
We can't be together now
But I hope to god that one day
we end up together
Even if I'm not the one for you
and was meant to meet you for a purpose beyond my view right now,
I wish you a lifetime of happiness with whomever
is privileged enough to call you
theirs
