Regrets

I looked at her and instantly was filled with regret

She had moved on with someone new, so why couldn't I

Her smile, her laugh, her, everything haunting me

I clenched my jaw trying not to get mad

A hand in mind jolted me back

What are you doing? I exclaimed

How have you been? She asked, in her soft voice

I looked around frantically, hoping her boyfriend didn't see

"He left-I broke up with him, he was always too pushy anyways"

I was taken back by this -"but-" I started

"I saw the hatred in your eyes only moments ago" she said

"Of course" I responded, pulling her into me

Wrapping my arms around her, I looked into her eyes

"He stole my girl," I said leaning closer to her

"He didn't, you just let her slip away" she whispered, leaning closer

As our lips brushed I tightened my grip, never wanting to let go

"That was my biggest mistake" I said, pressing our lips together
