So tell me you love me
and lie to me one more time
And I'll act like I believe it
For the sake of the relationship
Tell me I'm the only one you think of everyday
The only one you want
The girl you want to marry,
spend the rest of your life with
Tell me I'm your dream girl
So I can laugh and ask what about that girl I saw you kissing the other day
And suddenly your face looks flushed,
Like someone drained all the blood from your body
And you stare at me,
Looking so present, yet so dazed and lost at the same time
"Exactly, that's what I thought. Now save it for someone who really cares, cause I stopped a long time ago." I say and walk away.
I want to turn back and get one last look at you,
My sad tired eyes start filling up with tears,
And although you always said you never liked to see me cry,
This time you were the reason,
So I do turn around, and stare at you as you stare at me
Hoping that all the pain I feel, can be shown through my eyes and without words,
Because words are only sounds and wastes of oxygen when you don't really mean them.
