Memories From Forever

In the darkness of my unconscious mind, I wander, weightless and thoughtless.. as I wonder, i see a slight light. I walk (float?) towards it and am transported to Jace's room where Sebastian stands talking to him. I'm not sure if this is a dream, or if i am somehow experiencing this for real. Sebastian is telling Jace to stay away from me, "Everytime i leave her alone with you, she ends up screaming. I'm not so sure your good for her," Sebastian yells while Jace sits there cringing. I want to run to him and comfort him, but I also wish to run to Sebastian. I end up standing still, not sure if my celestial, immaterial body would be able to do anything. "I promise I haven't hurt her.. i would never," Jace begs as he kneels before Sebastian. "I swear to you, on the Angel, i swear it. I would never hurt your sister, my love." Before I can blink Sebastian is right in front of Jace and I hear a loud crack. Sebastian has slapped Jace across the face, hard. "SHE IS MY LOVE!" Sebastians face is red with anger... all I can think... is... how much he looks like.. Valentine.. our father. Jace looks up at him, dumbstruck and at a loss for words. "Uh... okay?." Jace manages to spit out before standing slowly, and backing away from Sebastian, holding his ever red cheek. "Please leave now... i wont go near your sister again," Jace practically sighs the words. "good," Sebastian seems to have regained his control, but just barely. He is still breathing heavy and staring at Jace. Before Jace can say another word Sebastian walks out and I am yanked back into my body. I wake up to Sebastian feeling ny forhead, all signs of his supposed rage gone. "Are you all right my love. Do you feel alright?" I nod my head and pull him down so he lays next to me, he wraps his arms around me gingerly, burying his face in my hair. "I love you so much," he whispers in my ear. "I know," I whisper back, earning a wondrous laugh from him. Before I can tell him I love him as well, I hear him gently snoring into my ear, i giggle and roll over slowly, trying not to disturb him. "Good night my love," I whisper before closing ny eyes. Behind my closed eyes many scenes play, i see me and Jace speaking to the Seelie Queen. Our first kiss since we had found out (falsely) that we were brother and sister. I see Jace heartbroken as he betrays what he believes is his father. I see mine and his first kiss.. that most wondrous night in the Institute greenhouse.. how such a simple birthday celebration could turn into such a deep love. If only idly had lasted. Eventually I fade into sleep, dreaming of the past, my unconscious mind wondering where I had gone wrong. Wondering where I had taken the turn down this dark, uncertain road.
