Chapter Twenty
Days passed and everything seemed to fall into place again, thought this time Arianna was now quoted as “The girl who hexed Sirius Black” when her roommates found out they were as equally shocked too, but Lily agreed with Arianna that it was no big deal, it had a couple of perks though, like the groupies fearing her because they might hex her too. The rumors went haywire for the first couple of days after the hexing incident some even saying that ‘Black was castrated by a girl’ or ‘that girl gave Black horns saying it suits him’ Arianna just shrugged and rolled their eyes.
“I wish I thought of that though,” said Arianna one time at breakfast as she heard a girl saying she turned Sirius Black into a pig because it suited him “it would have been way better.”
Lily, Alice and Marlene just laughed
“Just try being creative next time.” Said Marlene getting some toast
“Yeah,” agreed Alice as she drank some coffee “don’t be afraid to go over the top, unless Lily here was with you of course she’s a prefect we mustn’t forget.”
“Nah,” said Lily smiling “I’ll pretend I didn’t see anything and let it slide, I might be even cheering you on.”
The three girls laughed
“That hurts Evans,” said a voice from behind, they all turned around and saw James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew approaching them and taking a seat. Arianna rolled her eyes because obviously it was Sirius who made the comment; he pointed a finger to Arianna as he sat “Number one! As I was saying,” he said then turning to face Lily “you would actually abandon your prefect duties if Riddle hexed me again?” he said in mock indignation
Lily rolled her eyes
“Of course not Black!” said Lily she was pretending to be shocked, it was quite obvious she was faking it “I would never do such a thing! Right girls?”
The girls nodded and giggled
“Yeah Sirius,” agreed James who now went beside Lily “now as your reward for being the good little girl you are, you have the chance to go out with, drum roll please?” said James, and Remus, Peter and Sirius started the drumming on the table like a drum roll for a dramatic effect, which made the whole Gryffindor table shake “ME! JAMES POTTER! What do you say Evans?” said James giving one of his famous James Potter grins “But of course you would say yes because-“
“How many times do I have to say no Potter?!” said Lily who was as red as her hair in rage “No, no, no, no, NO! How many times do I have to say NO for it to penetrate that thick skull of yours that I.DO.NOT want to go out with you?!” Lily emphasized every word she said; by the Slytherin table one Severus Snape looked very happy at James’ fate. James and his other friends of course looked taken a back a bit and James for one was a bit speechless, but of course being James Potter he was very determined and didn’t show any signs of failure and of course thought of another line.
“The only answer that would penetrate my thick skull as you call it,” said James in a matter-a-fact tone “is the word yes coming out of your beautiful lips.”
Lily then groaned in frustration, got her things and walked out
“What did I do wrong this time?” said James turning to his friends as he ran his hands through his already messy hair
“Like I said before,” said Sirius as he put down his fork “We have no idea mate, we have no idea.”
“Yeah,” said Peter with his mouth full “like widdle we wave no idea why she hates wadfoot.”
