Chapter Twenty Nine
“So where do you want to go first?” asked Sirius as he and his friends and Arianna entered Hogsmeade Village. She felt a bit uncomfortable that the Marauders agreed to do as she wished that day for repayment. She buried her hands deeper into her pockets as some November snow fell from the sky,
“I already told you guys,” she said trying to make her voice loud enough as Lily would say ‘to penetrate their thick skulls’ “You guys releasing me therefore letting me go and not making me help you guys was already good for me.”
“Ah! But you must remember,” Said James grinning, making Arianna glare at him in annoyance “you cannot walk out on us on that one. We had a deal. We saved you from being killed –“
“From being hexed.” Arianna corrected, she crossed her arms in annoyance. They’ve had this argument, loads of times ever since the Marauders promised they’d do anything she wanted.
“Still.” Said James “You never know what Bellatrix could have done.”
Sirius nodded in agreement
“She could have used the Killing Curse you know,” he said backing his best mate up, Remus who was beside him rolled his eyes
“Bellatrix is what – Sixteen? She couldn’t –“
“Seventeen on February.” Sirius countered as he brushed off some snow that fell on his hair “That’s like three months away!”
Remus rolled his eyes again
“Still.” He said “She couldn’t have been able to cast the Killing Curse.”
Arianna grinned
“Thank you Remus.” She said “Thank God at least one of you actually makes sense…”
“I make sense!” cried James and Sirius indignantly,
“Yeah…” Arianna said rolling her eyes (Sirius held one finger up in the air to indicate the first eye roll) “And my name is Xeno Lovegood and I can see Nargles.”
The Marauders guffawed
“Nice one Riddle,” they complimented, Arianna just smirked as they started walked
“But seriously,” said James “Where d’you want to go?”
The Marauders and Arianna’s first stop was at the Three Broomsticks where she didn’t even spend anything, one of the first things Arianna noticed from the Marauders were, were that they were loaded. Well James and Sirius at least.
“Where’d you want to go next?” James asked Arianna as they left The Three Broomsticks, Arianna thought for a moment
“Uh… Zonko’s?” she said lamely, Peter who always appeared to be a tag along looked shocked so did James that a girl would actually suggest that
“Are you serious?” asked James
“No she isn’t,” said Sirius, smacking James upside the head “She isn’t me remember?!”
James rolled his eyes
“You knew what I meant dimwit.” He said, Sirius laughed
“Oh so I’m a dimwit now huh?” James was also laughing now, he was about to retort when Remus stopped him in annoyance
“I think we were about to contemplate as to where we were going?” he said loudly, James and Sirius then stopped
“Oh yeah,” said Sirius “so where’d you want to go next Riddle?”
