Anyways, I hope you had a good week and if not I hope this week is better. Enjoy the next chapter of 8 days, 8 letters and have a great week!

Present Day: July 1899

Jaime's POV

Everyone went to their selling spots. Race, Crutchy, and I decided to try a new spot since our old one wasn't really working. We headed towards a bar since there was a lot of traffic there. Surprisingly no one else was there.

"Extra, Extra," I shouted. "Blood on the Trolley Stike." A man came up and bought a pape from me. Shortly after a line formed in front of us. We ended up selling almost all our papes in just a few hours.

"We's shoulda came to dis spot earlier," Race said.

"I agree," Crunchy replied.

"Well boys seems like we found our new spot," I said. "I'd gotta go make sure everything's in order at the lodge before the rest of 'em finish."

"Oh come on Books," Crunchy said.

"Can't ya come to sheepstead just dis once," Race said.

"Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee," they begged.

"No," I laughed. "Another time. I promise."

"You's said dat last time," Crutchy said unhappily.

"I promise. Next time, I'll go with," I smiled, holding out my index finger.

They interlocked theirs with mine, "Sempre e per sempre, Alltid och för alltid, Gu bràth agus gu bràth," we said. (Always and forever)

"You's better," Race said teasingly. "If ya need us we'll be at Sheepstead."

"Gambling yourself into more debt," I teased.

"You's know it," he said.

"Hejdå Loppet. Hejdå Krycka," I laughed. (Bye Racer. Bye Crutch)

"Arrivederci Libri, Leabhraichean bye," they said. (Bye Books)

I headed towards the lodge house, hearing practically every Newsie sell their papes. I sold the rest of my papes on the way and headed up the stairs of the lodge house. God this room is a mess. I made the beds and cleaned up the floor. I then head to the bathroom and picked up the towels on the floor. Then I cleaned off the mirrors, the counters, and the floor. Finally. Done. I grabbed my book and decided to sit on the roof.

I was trying to get that figure off my mind. Who were they. And what did they want with me. I heard a bunch of people on the steps yelling. The boys? The door slammed open. I turned around to see Jack, Davey, and Les running.

"James. Jump," Jack shouted.

I slid off the side and landed on the ramp.

"Woah," we shouted.

Davey and Les didn't seem to follow. We stood up and motioned for them to come down. We ducked under the railing.

I looked up and saw Snyder looking around for Jack.

"Sullivan," he shouted. "Wait till I get you back to the Refuuuuuuuuge."

He walked away and we ran down the ramp, running to our Safe Haven.
