A/N: Hey everyone! So this is the end of the movie, however I will still be continuing this book with one more plot line. Thank you all so much for your support! Now please enjoy the next chapter of 8 Days, 8 Letters.

Present Day: July 1899

Davey's POV

I watched as the carriage took Jack and Jaime away.

I can't believe they're going to leave forever.

I knew it would happen eventually. The fellas clearly did too.

I guess none of us expected it to happen now.

Sarah and I were comforting Les. He had been crying since they had left.

Jack didn't even say goodbye to me.

But I also didn't try to.

It's only been a week, but it felt like I had known him for years. Too bad he's gone now.

Mush was leaning on the street light with Blink, Race, and Crutchy standing around him.

They were staring somberly in the direction Jack and Jaime went in.

Mush: Try bottle alley or the harbor

Mush disappeared into the distribution center that was now open.

"I'll go down to the harbor," a newsie said.

Race: Try Central Park, it's guaranteed

Race followed Mush into the distribution center.

"I'm not going to Central Park," another newsie said.

"I am," a third said.

Crutchy: Try any banker, bum, or barber

Kid Blink: They almost all knows how to read

Blink but his arm around Crutchy and they headed into the distribution center.

Les, Sarah, and I followed them into the distribution center to get our papes.

It would technically only be my second day selling.

I could really use Jack and his selling skills right now.

Boots: Summer stinks

Skittery: And winter's waiting

Skittery pulled Tumblr's ear playfully.

Specs, Itey, and Snipeshooter: Welcome to New York

Newsies: Boy ain't nature fascinating when you's gotta walk

I walked up to the front desk, putting $.50 down.

"100 papes," I declared.

I wish Jack was here to see this.

"All right Davey," Mush smiled, shaking my shoulder.

"Attaboy Davey," Race commented.

"Thanks," I smiled.

I took my papes and was about to step down when I heard large cheers from the crowd.
