Present Day: November 1899

Jaime's POV

The room was set in a shocked, awkward silence.

Mush was casually chatting with Blink and Bumlets after he had announced that he was in love with someone else.

Blink still smiled and nodded as Mush continued to talk excitedly about whatever it was he was talking about.

Yet, there was still a hint of sadness in his smile.

"He's takin' it better than I's thought he would," Jack mumbled.

"Why wouldn't he take it well?" Davey asked.

"He's loved him for years," Kloppman responded.

"Oh. This will be awkward."

"Ya think?" I breathed.

Jack and I nodded.

"Why don't you's tell 'em about her Myers?" Blink asked.

"Well if you's insist," he laughed. "I met her a while ago."

Mush: She ain't got no money
Her clothes are kinda funny
Her hair is kinda wild and free

He started pushing past newsies and dancing.

Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

He stopped on the stairs, leaning dramatically on the railing.

She talks kinda lazy
And people say she's crazy
And her life's a mystery

He started pushing back through the crowd and ran out the door.

None of us had to glance at each other to know what to do.

We had to chase him.

Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

He leaned on a wall outside, one leg up on the side.

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that that's fine

He pushed himself off of the wall.

And I gotta say, hey
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

He kept walking until he found another wall to dramatically lean on.

Why is this my life?

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly

Tell Blink that please.

Because love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me

There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that that's fine
And I gotta say, hey
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away

He walked backwards to the lodge house talking to us.

I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
