Damon

"Stefan we've got company!" I called out loudly as I stepped through the entry way and into the main room.

Jessica and Amelia came in behind me. Jessica moved over to one of the twin sofas, that faced each other, and perched on one of its arm rests while Amelia curiously walked over near a bookshelf scanning the collection of books stored there. It was a mere moment before I heard Stefan's approach and watched him emerge through the open doorway that led off to the other end of the house. His hands were stuffed in his jacket pockets, appearing very casual. Stefan's gaze first met mine before falling on Jessica then Amelia before returning back to me.

"What's going on Damon?" Stefan asked in that calm tone of his.

"Well where should I start? Oh right, these two," I motioned at Jessica and Amelia. "have just told me that the Original Hybrid used a witch's match.com to select a woman that is supposed to help make him more invincible."

Stefan wore an expression of surprise and disbelief. "What?"

"You heard me. Klaus has a plan to make himself even harder to kill. All he has to do is find the woman dubbed as the Chosen One, capture her and after a ceremony and a spell conducted by none other than a witch, killing him will go from difficult to near impossible." I widened my eyes emphatically to get my point across.

Stefan shot a dubious glance around the room at me, Jessica and Amelia. He shook his head, his hands now out of his pockets. He held one hand up. "Wait. How can that be? We haven't heard anything about that. And how do they know this? Who are they?" He asked indicating Jessica and Amelia while giving them looks of suspicion.

Amelia strode forward and stopped to stand next to Jessica. "I'm a witch descended from a powerful line of witches that is an ally to the Bennett witch line. My aunt and I use magic to try to help keep balance in the world. When Klaus got a witch to create this spell, we became aware of it. We can't let it happen and there is only one way to prevent it from occurring. We need to kill him. And until then the Chosen One needs to be protected and kept hidden from him."

"And you are sure of this?" Stefan asked still a bit skeptical.

"Why would we lie?" Jessica stated rather than asked. "What other reason would we have to walk into this mess when we could have stayed out of it if isn't the truth?"

I faced Stefan and shrugged. "She has a point. I wouldn't put it past Klaus to try to pull this kind of thing. He's worried that we just might be able to kill him so he goes and tries to find a way to make it harder."

Stefan met my gaze for a moment then nodded. "Alright. Then where is this woman? This Chosen One that needs to be protected?"

I gave a huff as I sat down on the sofa across from Jessica and put my feet up on the coffee table that was between the sofas. "Good luck getting that answer. I've tried already and they refuse to tell me." I leaned back and locked my hands behind my head. My attention focused on the beautiful Jessica across from me. I widened my eyes, looking at her when I said it to show my irritation on that matter. "But I'm thinking she has to be a relative of theirs since they are so protective and secretive. A sister perhaps?"

"Look, I already told you why it is best not to reveal who or where the Chosen is. The less people know about her then the better off she will be." Jessica said sounding a bit exasperated, not affirming or denying my guess.
