Damon

"Elijah. My favorite Original. Back from the dead." I greeted him as I approached him, treading through the knee high grass heading towards where he stood several yards away. "You clean up nice."

Elijah, watching me a bit skeptically, reached into his inside jacket pocket and retrieved a white piece of paper. "You left something in my jacket pocket." He held it up for me to see and waited expectantly for an explanation.

I stopped before him recalling what I had put in that note. "Yeah. Dear Elijah, let's get together. About the destruction of your brother. XOXO."

"Damon." He said, saying my name which I had signed onto the short, to the point, note.

I eyed him warily. "Was I correct to un-dagger you or are we going to have a problem?"

Elijah shrugged, keeping his gaze matched with mine. "I'm here. Let's talk."

The first thing that I really wanted to discuss with him, I refrained from mentioning. Though I was concerned for her welfare and I wanted to know whether he had seen Jessica, I had to be certain that Elijah was on my side before I revealed anything about her. Since Jessica was a way for Klaus to become more invincible than he already was, her death would be seen as the best way to ensure Klaus didn't grow more powerful. For me, her death wasn't an option I was considering. I wanted to make sure that Elijah wouldn't consider it either. So I directed my thoughts on the other primary objective.

"Well then, let's start with an easy question." I stated sarcastically. "Any idea of what Klaus killing weapon can be magically sealed in a mystery coffin?"

"Umm. Yes. Last night when things settled down after he and I came to blows, he did mention the fact that you have the remaining coffin. Regrettably he has not told me what is within it." Elijah tilted his head a bit. "I do ardently agree on finding out what is inside. His destruction is nigh."

I grinned pleased with his answer. "Welcome aboard. You have just joined the Annihilate the Hybrid movement."

Elijah raised his hand and motioned at me. "Tell me. What do you know about the young woman Klaus has with him?"

"You mean the sexy brunette with a fiery attitude?" I asked him with a smirk, conjuring up Jessica's image in my mind.

Elijah nodded his head and wore a small amused smile. "Yes that is the one. Jessica. She is rather a captivating woman." He put his hand back in his pocket. "Though I've just recently met her, I find myself... concerned for her. I know when my brother is up to something and he seems to have a plan for her. One which he said would make her, well practically make her his wife. Once, Klaus swore off ever falling in love. He claims that it is a vampire's greatest weakness. Therefore I know he must have something more in store for her. What do you know of this?"

"I know enough." I cocked my head, eyeing him skeptically. "Are you willing to help her?"

Elijah gave a small shrug. "I don't see why I wouldn't be. Killing Klaus will be beneficial to not only us but to her as well."

"Until we can get that coffin open and use whatever Klaus killing weapon is in there, Jessica needs to be kept away from him." I stated. "And until last night, she had been. So I need to get her back. Got any ideas on how?"

"Klaus has her at his mansion on the exterior of town. His hybrids roam the estate and it seems as if Klaus hardly wants her out of his reach. However I believe I just might have a solution." His gaze leveled with mine, giving me a commanding look. "Now tell me what my brother has in store for her."

"He wants to fulfill a prophecy called the Chosen One."

"And what is this prophecy?" Elijah asked me.

"It's Klaus's way to get himself a woman with added benefits." I scoffed. "Apparently he has changed his mind about love. He got a witch to find the Chosen One. A woman that is supposedly his best match."

"Jessica." Elijah stated her name acknowledging the fact that she was the Chosen. His gaze narrowed. "And these benefits, are they much like the benefits he sought by creating hybrids?"

I nodded. "Per usual he is after more power. Invincibility. And Jessica is the key to giving that added bonus of it to him."

"I suppose there is a ritual to be involved?" When I nodded, he continued on. "How much time do we have?"

"Until the full moon which is in two days." Upon his perplexed expression, I shook my head when I sensed what he was about to ask. "It is not relevant to his werewolf side."

Understanding alighted on Elijah's face. "Ah then it is for the time of uniting predestined couples. The time when a true and powerful love can be formed." Elijah gave a wry smile. "Though I have to say Jessica didn't seem infatuated with Klaus when I met her last night."

"She's not. Besides she is spoken for."

"Mmm. I see." Elijah nodded his head. "In that case Klaus will have to have a love spell performed seeing as how Jessica will be intent on refusing Klaus's advances."

"Which is why we need to get Jessica out of there. So let's go over that idea you had on how we can accomplish that."
