Damon

Again I had to watch Klaus whisk Jessica away and it made my blood boil.

Kol sprung to his feet and whirled on me, a wild and ominous look in his eyes. "Seems you need to be taught a lesson."

"Not now Kol. Come. They have a job to do and we have somewhere we need to be." Elijah stated sternly.

             "Next time." Kol promised me.

I shot him a taunting smirk. "Can't wait."

Kol's eyes narrowed at me for a moment before him and Elijah vanished, leaving to go confront their mother who was bound and determined to kill her children. Esther definitely wasn't in the running for best mother of the year award.

Stefan crouched down next to Alaric, checking for a pulse. He pivoted to look over at me. "It didn't kill him but he might have a concussion."

"His doctor girlfriend can take care of him. We need to go get Jessica."

Stefan instantly sprang to his feet, squaring off with me so we were toe to toe. "No Damon we are going to stop the witches."

I matched his gaze. "Esther is the break we've been looking for. She can kill Klaus. We stop her, then we are back to square one in trying to kill him and we don't have the time. Klaus will turn Jessica tonight if he isn't killed."

"And Elena will be killed if we do not stop Esther." Stefan argued heatedly. He paused for a moment, and when he spoke again, his voice was a bit softer. "Both Elena and Jessica are in danger but the only one that we can really help at this moment is Elena. We don't have any other options at this point Damon. We do not know where Elena is and Jessica is with three Originals. If we stop the witches, Elijah will release Elena and then we can go get Jessica back from Klaus before he can perform the ceremony."

"It is too much of a risk." I stated.

Stefan gave a short and brief nod. "But it is our only option Damon. I will help you get Jessica back."

Though I hated the fact, I knew Stefan was right. We were out of options. The plan Stefan proposed wasn't what I wanted to do, but it did seem like it was the best chance we had. I nodded showing him my agreement, even if it was reluctant.

At that moment the side door to the Grill opened and Meredith stepped out. Spotting Alaric unconscious and lying on the concrete, she rushed over to him and began checking his vitals.

"What happened to him?" Meredith asked, in her calm sensible doctor's tone.

"Can you watch over him?" Stefan asked her.

Meredith looked up at us. Upon seeing both of our foreboding expressions, she nodded. "I've got him. Go."

Leaving them behind, Stefan and I got into my convertible that I had parked in front of the Grill.

"You know where they will be?" Stefan asked, referring to Bonnie and Abby.

In reply, I pulled out onto the highway heading out of town. "The witch house."
