Damon

I watched Amelia and Jessica head upstairs then pulled out my cell phone when it started ringing. The caller ID displayed Elena's name.

"What does the doppelganger want now?" I asked brusquely not bothering or caring to try to hide my irritation with her and her ill-timed phone call.

"Where is Stefan? I've been trying to call him but he won't answer me." Elena asked, seeming to not be bothered by my put off mood towards her.

"How should I know?" I replied in an obvious annoyed tone. "I don't have time for this. I've got something more important to do besides play the 'Where in the world is Stefan' game."

I started to hang up but before I could, what I heard Elena quickly exclaim caught my attention.

              "It is about Esther's plan."

I put the phone back up to my ear. "What about it?"

"Last night Esther used my blood to bind all of the siblings together. Rebekah, Kol, Finn, Klaus and Elijah." Elena paused for a moment taking a deep breath before continuing. "So if one dies, then so do all of the others. And Finn is willing and prepared to be the initial one sacrificed."

"Not surprised. Finn does seem depressed." I joked. "When is she going to do this?"

"Tonight during the full moon. She said that she is going to draw power from it."

"Is this going to happen before or after Klaus tries to bind Jessica to him? If he gets a hold of Jess and binds her to him before Esther kills him, then Jessica will be killed as well. " I remarked crossly. " I don't have the time to continue this conversation. I've got to get Jessica as far away from Klaus as I can."

             "I understand Damon." Elena replied.

"Then why are you calling me?" I snapped, my already thin patience thinning even more.

"I know that you have to help Jessica so I'm not asking for your help but I do want to ask Stefan for help only I can't get ahold of him." Elena stated.

"I told you that I don't know where he is and I'm not about to go looking for him right now." I growled. "Why do you need his help?"

Elena didn't answer right away which automatically showed that what she was going to say next was not something that I was going to enjoy hearing. "Well it is about Elijah. Why should he be killed along with the others? Elijah once tried to save me from Klaus. I feel like I should try to help him."

"One word Elena. Original." I said slowly, drawing it out for added emphasis.

"So? He has helped us a couple times before. We owe it to him to try to help him." Elena argued.

"Elena." I stated her name in a stern tone. "Drop it. Let Esther go through with her plan and don't interfere. Don't risk screwing it up."

Once again Elena didn't reply for a few moments, alerting me to the fact that no matter what she said next, she was dwelling on ways to alter Esther's plans which posed as a risk to ruining the chance at killing all of the Originals which was something that we couldn't afford to happen.
