"What's up?" I asked Amelia who seemed a bit irritated though I wasn't sure why.

"I admit that we need their help but other than that we don't need to get too deeply involved with them, any of them. If things don't work out like we need them to, then we've got to go back to what we have been doing which is taking care of ourselves." Amelia told me in that peeved tone that I knew well.

"Yeah I know that. So what's your point?"

"I don't like the way Damon is suddenly asking questions. He's trying to get you to let something slip. Plus I don't like the way he's been interested in you ever since the two of you met. We got enough to deal with and we don't need him to complicate things even more." Amelia bluntly stated in her attitude that had me growing irritable myself.

"I'm highly aware of that Amelia." I retorted. "You know that I don't like being in this mess any more than you do. I'm not going to reveal anything I shouldn't. Trust me on that."

"Oh I trust you. It's him that I don't trust." She said crossing her arms.

I took that moment to look over at my car and at Damon within. He was looking in our direction before something else caught his attention in the direction of the plantation. Turning I saw Stefan standing on the old front porch with his arms crossed. I wasn't sure exactly when he had appeared there but I knew that our little discussion needed to be put on hold since I was aware of the possibility that both brothers could hear everything we were saying. Looking back at Amelia I saw that she was looking off in Stefan's direction too, having noticed him right after I did.

"I understand Amelia that you are concerned. We should discuss this at a different time. Until then try not to worry." Reaching out I put my hand gently on her arm in a friendly and calming way. "It'll be alright. I'll see you later."

                Amelia nodded but didn't reply.

I started to walk back to the car then stopped and turned back to face her. "Call me when you find out anything."

"Will do. Be careful Jess." Amelia responded with a nod.

I gave her a soft smile. "You too."

Pivoting about I again headed for my car. I had just opened the door and slid inside and shut it when Stefan instantly appeared outside my door and knocked on the window. I darted a glance over at Damon, before pushing the button to lower the window.

"Where are you two headed?" Stefan asked me and Damon in that firm, too calm tone of his. I knew that he was suspicious that something was up and I couldn't blame him.

"To the hospital to see what information we can glean out of Rick's prospective girlfriend. I'm thinking she's one fry short of a happy meal." Damon quipped.

Stefan nodded his head back in the direction of Amelia who was already heading towards the old house. "And her?"

"She's going to try to make contact with the spirits of the witches to see what more information she can find out about the prophecy and the ceremony." I answered him.

"Have you heard from Elena and Bonnie?" Stefan asked.

Damon nodded. "Yup they were still trying to find a way to open that coffin last time I saw them."
