Jessica
I stood before the large wall mirror in the bathroom putting in a pair of long, dangling earrings. In the mirror I saw Amelia appear in the bathroom doorway, already dressed and ready. Though she still looked tired, she looked a lot less tired than she had last night. I knew that having worked that spell to unlock the coffin last night and not to mention all of the stress from these recent events had zapped her of some of her energy. Amelia was a strong witch though and had abated my concern for her several times insisting that she was fine.
"You ready?" She asked me.
Having put the last earring in, I surveyed myself in the mirror taking in my dark brown boots, my dark blue jeans with the stylish holes and pockets decorated with small crystal jewels that made a curlicue design and my maroon colored sleeveless top with a sculpted neck line. I had pulled my hair up into a fashionably messy bun and applied eye shadow as well as a little bit of masquera. All in all everything looked in place.
"Yup let's go." Stepping away from the mirror, I followed Amelia back out into my bedroom and to the bedroom door.
Opening it up, we stepped out into the hall. I had been wary of the possibility that Damon would be out here waiting for me to emerge from my room but glances down both directions of the hall reveled that he wasn't.
Together Amelia and I descended the stairs. As we did so I did a rapid scan of the large living room below still expecting for Damon to be nearby. I partly dreaded that he was and then again a part of me hoped he was. If it wasn't for his new found interest in trying to tell me what to do and ignore my decisions, I would be happy to see him. Since this wasn't the case, the thought of Damon had me wanting to avoid him for a while. So when I only saw Stefan, I was able to relax.
Stefan looked over at us as we descended the last step and headed for the front door.
"Going into town?" Stefan inquired.
"No. We are headed to Elena's." Amelia answered him.
I had just stepped into the entry way when his voice from over to my left had me halting in my tracks.
"Leaving this house is not a wise idea."
I rolled my eyes before pivoting in place to face him. The sight of him standing there in a pair of light faded jeans and a navy blue tee shirt, that looked a size too small and showed off his muscled and toned body, almost had my heartbeat pounding to a new faster rhythm. Damon was as darkly handsome and sexy as ever but it didn't excuse the fact that he was on a new nerve grating kick of trying to control me.
"I didn't ask if it was." I retorted.
Damon strode forward several steps decreasing the distance between us before Amelia stepped between us as a warning for Damon to keep his distance. Damon bestowed a glare upon Amelia, conveying his current dislike of her before he turned those ice cool blue eyes on me.
"If you are going to continue insist on staying in Mystic Falls then you should stay in this house. After all she spelled your room to not allow a vampire in. So if you are staying, then you are staying in your room where Klaus can't get to you." Damon's tone of voice was firm relaying his seriousness and resolve in the matter.
