Gradually I awoke, taking my time and just enjoying being able to lay still and relax for the moment. When I opened my eyes, I watched the play of morning sunlight streaming through the partially closed curtains covering the set of double doors across the room  that led to the balcony. In the streaks of light, specks of dust lazily drifted downwards. I could hear the singing of birds outside, which I found soothing. Yet despite how comfortable it was to lay here, I had to get up sometime so it might as well be now. Pushing back the top sheet, I swung my legs to the floor and stood. Stretching my arms out, I turned and had just taken a step forwards in the direction of where my suitcase sat against the far wall when I jumped, startled upon seeing Damon lounging in one of the two chairs along the same wall.

"Geez Damon! I don't particularly like being startled first thing in the morning." I exclaimed.

Damon gave an amused half grin, his eyes traveling over me as I stood there in a pair of short cotton shorts and a tank top. "What do you like in the morning?" He asked playfully.

I strode over to my suitcase, opened it and pulled out what I wanted to wear for the day. Straightening I turned my back on him and headed for the bathroom. "My morning shower. So if you will excuse me I'd appreciate it if you left the room. I don't trust you to not try anything while I'm in it."

I stepped into the bathroom, laid my clothes out on top of the sink counter and looked out at him. He stood from the chair.

"Fine. I'll meet you downstairs. Unless you want some company." He teased.

I shook my head. "See you downstairs."

Closing the bathroom door, I made sure to lock it. Yes if Damon really wanted to get in he could but having the door locked gave me a feeling of security none the less.

I took my time taking my shower and relaxing under the warm spray. When I was finished I stepped out and wrapped one of the soft creamy colored towels around my body before moving to stand before the mirror which hung on the wall above the sink. After drying myself off, I slid into my underclothes then started working on my hair. I combed it out, located a hairdryer in one of the bathroom cabinets and dried it.  I side parted my hair and gently tousled it in small waves, leaving it free to fall about my shoulders. With my hair done, I slid into one of my favorite pair of jeans. They were fade washed, boot cut, low rise blue jeans that had an large embroidered and jeweled cross on both back pockets and a small one on the front right pocket. I pulled a light blue tank top on before putting on a loose light blue shirt with a draping neckline and a lacy back. After a quick application of eyeliner, masquera and glittering white eye-shadow, I exited the bathroom satisfied with my appearance.

I slipped into my boots and grabbed some long, dangling three strand earrings from one of my suitcases and put them on before going to my bedroom door. I had just reached it and was fixing to open it when there was a knock. Swinging it open, I was met with the sight of Amelia.

I greeted her with a smile. "Hey."

"Morning. I wanted to see if you were ready to head downstairs and see if we can get some breakfast." Amelia said looking very refreshed in a flower print skirt that ended just above the knee and a cute one shoulder top.

"Yeah." I stepped out of my room, shutting the door behind me and started walking towards the staircase with Amelia. "I'm starving."
