Mr. Clementine stuck his hand out for the woman in front of him, "Hello ma'am! I'm Vincent, Vincent Clementine. I am here to take care of your children."
Clementine smiled, his eyes sparked with a look of excitement.
"Ah yes, Vincent, say, how old are you? You look so young to be talking so fancy." Estha asked.
"Twenty-one ma'am, I come from a rich family, it is only the way they taught me."
"You must be from that mansion I drove past, you are new in town! You're such a handsome young boy! Your parents are lucky to have a very kind boy like you." The brown-haired woman smiled, her gaze shifted down at her watch.
Estha gasped, "Oh dear I must go, I will be late to my flight, all the instructions for my three children are on the fridge!"
The woman ran to her car, while Vincent turned around to look inside the house.
The house wasn't small at all, it was three floors high, and fancy furniture was placed all around.
Vincent didn't go in yet, he turned back around to admire the beauty of the moonlight. It was gorgeous out, and the lake in front shimmered.
The man sighed and checked the time on his phone, ten a' clock.
Vincent shook his head, walking forward and locking the door behind him.
A little green-eyed boy sitting on the couch stared him down, wide-eyed.
"Who are you? Get away!" The boy yelped.
A girl behind him bonked him on the head with a toy pony, "You idiot! He's our new parent for the next two months!"
"Not your parent, just a caretaker." Vincent chuckled, settling his things down next to the door.
The little boy puffed, crossing his arms as he slumped back onto the couch.
"Come, kind stranger! Mommy ordered me to take you to your room," The girl said, taking Vincent's hand and taking him upstairs.
"So, what are your and your little brother's names?" Vincent asked politely.
"I'm Taylor! That's Tyler, he's snotty. We're twins!"
Taylor giggled, scrunching up her nose.
Vincent nodded, focused on the beautiful wall designs.
"It sure is dark up here.. uhm, where's the light switch?"
"Well of course it's dark! It's night-time." The little girl released her hand from Vincent's and flipped the light switch.
"Come, the stairs to the third floor are on the right."
"My room is on the third floor?" Vincent tilted his head, sounding toneless.
"Yes! Most of the nice rooms are up there. Be careful though, my big brother is scary." Taylor slipped into a whisper at the end.
Vincent grunted, he can handle some pompous rich kid.
Both of them got to the third floor finally and Taylor pointed to his room, "Okay bye tall man!"
The little girl ran back down the stairs, leaving Vincent to explore himself.
The black-haired man walked forward, turning the knob.
The room was pleasant and bright, with white walls, and golden and white silk sheets. It was beautiful.
A bright light on the fan lit up the whole room, except for one dark corner.
Vincent would get his stuff later, right now he just wanted to lie down after the long drive here.
Vincent plopped down onto the bed. Letting out a relieved sigh.
......
Silence engulfed the whole room for some time. And Vincent laid on the bed, kicking his boots off.
Today was certainly long.
He squinted at the bright light, heaving himself up into a sitting position on the bed.
..........
"So you're supposed to be the mature responsible man looking after us, you look like a spoiled rich kid."
Vincent's eyes widened, instantly glowering at the amber eyes peering in the dark corner.
"I'm surprised you didn't see me, if I do say so myself, I think my beautiful self is easy to see."
The person in the dark corner walked forward, kneeling to face Vincent right in his eyes.
"You're cute." The brown-haired man snorted.
Vincent bit his lip, the person in front of him was indeed fine, the curved outline of his whole body was perfect, along with dazzling piercing amber eyes, and fluffy warm brown hair. A rose earing piece in both his ears.
"Do not call me cute. I am your babysitter, not a pet." Vincent snapped, glaring at the man.
"What's your name?" Vincent asked. "Ms. Afton didn't tell me she had a grown baby."
William shot him a hateful glint, "I'm mature enough to care for myself, just leave me alone for these next two months or you'll regret it."
Afton stomped out, while the black-haired man rolled his eyes.
"You didn't even answer my question."
Vincent laughed as he thought more about what the younger man said, he isn't going to do anything to me.
"Or else." Vincent mocked.
Clementine stood up, heading out the room to get his things by the door and bring them back.
. . .
"Where do you think you're going?"
As Vincent lifted his bags, he growled frustrated, turning around to look Afton in the eyes.
"Getting my stuff clearly, Afton." Vincent smiled cheekily.
"Don't call me by my last name like that."
"Well, I'm sorry, I would know your name if you told me, twinkle toes."
"Don't call me stupid nicknames!" William shouted at him.
Vincent's gaze briefly glanced to the couch, where the two kids were laughing and pointing at them both.
"Listen we don't need a fight as soon as I get here. It's probably about eleven at night right now, I'll be heading to sleep now. Put your siblings in bed."
William continued to glare at him, going toward his brother and picking him up.
As Vincent walked up, William took a step forward.
"My name. My name is William. William Afton."
Vincent nodded, casting one last glance.
