He had accepted this place as his home now. The dusty smell that came from the brackets of where the boxes lay, the creaking of the floorboards when Vincent came up to give him his food, and the chirping of robins to chaffinches to crickets day and night. They were all familiar to him.
It was lunchtime now, and William was waiting for Vincent to arrive home and cook him something. He knew this because he stared out the one window in the attic often, watching Vincent leave in his car after breakfast and not come back until about noon. He guessed Vincent was at work or school.
He also enjoyed lunch the most since Vincent had the most free time during it, so Vincent would usually cuddle him and whisper sweet things into his ear after he had finished eating. They did it so much that William was starting to love it.
He knew it was wrong, that this man had kidnapped him and taken everything away from him. But he couldn't stop himself from falling for him. Vincent was so perfect but so sick in the head as well.
And it was funny, he could see it in Vincent's face. Vincent really thought he had saved William, or done something good. But the more William sat here and thought about it, he realized how weird and evil their whole relationship was.
Day after day, William sat here in an attic while some stranger fed and treated him like a dog.
But either way, William had to give acceptance to him, but why did he love this twisted man so much?
He had no clue.
