Enthusiastically, Vincent and William padded down the street's sidewalk, the light breeze flowed through their hair and chilled the goosebumps on their arms, everything seemed fine and normal. However, it was a special day. Not because of an event or holiday, but because they planned something special to do together, like a small date.

What they hadn't planned was the light drizzle that fell onto to them to become atrocious heavy downpour, the hundreds of raindrops drummed relentlessly against the sidewalk pavement and city rooftops. The day they planned to spend where they would go to the local beautiful gardens and pick flowers for each other while embracing the warm sun was now disrupted by the gloomy and downcast weather.

The only thing they exchanged at that sudden moment was knowing glances and unanticipated grins, darting into a nearby café lickety-split.

As Vincent closed the door behind them, he smiled warmly at the sound of William giggling in his arms. He chuckled as well, placing the umbrella he had taken out earlier to the floor. William watched and stood on his tip toes to kiss Vincent on the cheek, hugging his now wet jacket.

Now inside the cozy café, which had the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, they snagged a corner booth; snuggling between each other's arms for warmth.

"Well, that was unexpected, hm?" Vincent laughed, giving the smaller male which sat on his thighs the cafés menu. William responded with a nod of head, sharing Vincent's smile as he took a look at the menu, most likely picking out a warm drink.

The blonde peered over his shoulder, "So, what do you want to drink darlin?" The man inquired, kissing William's soaked hair from the back.

"..Mm, hot cocoa?" Afton suggested, "I can get an extra-large and we can share it~.." He revealed a playful smile, nudging his significant other in the shoulder. Vincent flashed an amiable grin and showed agreement with a nod of his head.

"Alright then that's settled." William declared, he directed his gaze upwards when a waitress arrived at their corner booth. She had a very much welcoming demeanor and deprived eyes that widened in affability when she happily walked up to them.

"Hi! What can I get you folks this afternoon?" The girl asked, her voice modulated yet deep.

William gave her a smile of cheerfulness while Vincent slumped a bit in the corner, the older they got, the more less sociable he became; technically becoming a old grumpy grandparent but without the aging part.

"Just a large hot chocolate please," He began. Looking over at Vincent and deciding to get his husband's favorite dessert. "And a piece of New York Style Cheesecake to go along with it, that'll be all Ma'am."

The waitress affirmed the order with a nod, "Alright, coming right up!" She held a grin cheek to cheek, walking away to the back to go check in their order.

As she disappeared around the corner, William turned his head back to Vincent who despite looking like a disheveled and tired mess, was eagerly squeezing and hugging him like a happy little puppy. "You know, if anyone is the cute one, it has to be you." He laughed, pinching the blonde's cheek and then kissing it. But Vincent gave an exaggerated eye role.

"Be quiet, bottom." He gave a sly smirk, reaching under the table to grope William's ass mockingly. Afton nearly choked on his own spit and tried to shove Vincent away.

"Vince, we're in public!" He scolded, apprehending the squeezes he felt below.

The man only sneered though, "But who's going to see?" He queried, snatching his husband closer to him. William squirmed in embarrassment and snapped his eyes around the room, looking to see if anyone was staring at them. Of course, no one really was but their waitress suddenly popped out from the back, carrying in her hands the tray of food they had ordered before.

Vincent giggled in surprise and let his husband go at the last second, adjusting his position to act as if nothing happened.

"Here you go!" The waitress pleasantly exclaimed, reaching down to place the hot cup of cocoa and fresh piece of cheesecake onto their table. "Come up to the front checkout counter to pay for your meal when you're finished." The woman informed, heading off into the distance when both men nodded.

Vincent then gave William a suggestive smirk, grabbing the fork from the plate and scooping up a piece of cheesecake with it, reaching for his husband's chin. Afton expressed his disdain with a subtle eye movement, refusing to let Vincent feed him in a teasing manner. "Oh, come on, open wide..." He grunted, nudging the fork right at William's mouth.

"Why should I?" William snickered, closing his eyes and turning his head in contempt.

Vincent sneered, parting his lips mischievously. "You open your mouth wide for me whenever I wave my cock in your face, so why not cheesecake, hm?"

William's expression didn't change at all though, he was numb to Vincent's flirts at this point. "Haha, I blushed so hard." he said flatly, rolling his eyes as dramatically as he could.

Vincent scoffed, "Oh, come on. You know that was a good one, you fell right into it!" The blonde chuckled, suddenly seeing an opening as William turned back to face him. He bit his lip and shoved the fork into Afton's mouth, forcing him to swallow it by then abruptly smashing their lips together. William yelped in consternation, gnawing at Vincent's tie with his fingers.

"V-Vincent what the fuck-..." William huffed in annoyance, pushing the amused man away who had a buoyant grin plastered on his face.

Vincent snickered and kissed his cheek, "You know what this reminds me of?" He questioned out of the blue, taking a sip out of the steaming hot chocolate.

Afton shook his head, pouting now from the simple action; probably on his period.

The blonde man pondered gently, "Our first date. Mm, yeah... It was just like this." He reminisced, the mood slightly took a change from his statement. So, William leaned in closer, laying his head on Vincent's shoulder.

"It's been so long, and my memory isn't great, I surely don't remember." William joked, placing his hand on his husband's upper arm and giving it a slight massage.

"You were so..." Vincent paused for a moment, "Naive." He laughed. "Yea, despite murdering six children, you were an innocent little thing." He winked, kissing the top of William's head.

William conveyed skepticism through his eyes, "Ugh, you.." He snarled in a light hearted tone, hitting him in the shoulder.

"Me..." Vincent growled back playfully, putting his lips gently to the tip of his little peanut's nose.

...

Their soft laughs echoed throughout the café, and the soft pattering of rain droplets hitting the window created a soft and romantic ambience inside.
