♡ Disclaimer: The Yakuza is indeed a real thing, but everything you might see or read about it does not occur in this au, yes this au is inspired by it, but almost 99% of this au has none of the actual Yakuza origins and etc. in it, to be simply put, the only thing that is actually similar between these two is that they are both Japanese Mafia's but nothing more. ♡

An undercover cop, in the vast lively city of Tokyo.

But undercover for what?

A crime organization.

Trafficking, stealing, murder, if you name it. They do it.

It's simple, they're a mafia.

But what do they call themselves?

The Yakuza.

...

"God man, can you just not fuck this up?" A muffled voice grunted through his walkie-talkie.

William exhaled slowly, snatching the radio from his pocket. "Yeah, yeah. I'm not, alright? I didn't even have to do much before the group trusted me, I'm so enchanting that I'm one of them now!" William replied half-jokingly, the voice signal getting weaker and distanced as he made his way back to the hideout.

"The moment they catch on, you're dead." The man's voice repeated the same sentence for the millionth time.

"For fucks sake, do you want me to do this or not? I've already gotten into their databases, now I just need to get closer to the kumicho in this group." William stressfully pinched the bridge of his nose, sneaking through the alleyway.

"The kumicho?" The man queries over the radio of the walkie-talkie.

"It's what they call their boss or main guy, I found out his last name is Clementine, run that through the computer." William told him.

"I mean I'll try, but I need his first name for it to actually process better." His employee complained to him, his voice ruffling through the sound waves even more.

"Alright, I'll ask around. It can't be that hard to figure out my own boss's first name." William gave a half shrug, hearing a relieved sigh from the other side of the radio.

"Hurry up then and report back to me in five hours, I can't waste any mor-.."

The walkie-talkie cut off.

William grumbled under his breath before slipping the radio back into his trouser pocket, "Lazy bastard.. more like he can't spend time doing any more work than he has to.."

He spotted the familiar underground tunnel, secretly latched by a sewer pipe lineage. William slipped under it and grabbed the key from his trouser pocket, unscrewing the lock that held the entrance tightly in place.

Once inside, he could hear the rowdy noises of his fellow group members, casually being drunk and annoying without the boss here to keep them in check. William was of course a new member, so as he came in, barely any of them even paid attention to him. That is if you don't count the youngest man in the room eagerly waving at him with an ear to ear grin plastered on his face.

"William! William! You're back!.. What took you so long? It's been hours." The man's voice was a bass type, quite surprising for his youthful and energetic appearance.

"Emergency matters with family, nothing I couldn't handle." William casually lied off, patting his shoulder as if he were a child.

The man gave him an understanding nod, "Come then! You must be hungry after sitting out there all day." He ushered on, grabbing William by the arm without hearing his response first.
