Wisteria plastered a big grin on her face, her unbridled laughter making the woman next to her return the grin.

"Someone's happy right now, hm?" Violetta smiled fondly, giving her wife a small massage on her upper arm.

"Very!" She nodded, skipping forward to the building in the distance.

A seamless expanse of trees cornered their right side, the light of dawn filtering through the forest. It was close to seven o'clock most likely, they woke up early so they wouldn't have to deal with the other people that came here all the time. Besides, the view was lovely. A vast set of pink, yellow, and orange rays set in the sky, a faint neon white shape rising from the horizon.

Violetta's gaze snapped from the tall pine trees back to her wife, the corners of her lips becoming upturned when they approached the animal shelter. The smile on her wife's face was brighter than ever and she quickly leaned over to hold her hand, "Can we check the kittens out first?" Wisteria questioned, opening the door to the shelter.

"Of course." She replied simply, suddenly overwhelmed by the smell of fresh linen plus the odd scent of wet dog and cat litter.

They let go of each other's hands and headed over to the section labeled 'Cats.' The smell of litter was very powerful now.

Violetta heard a small gasp as they walked up to some cages, her eyes softening when Wisteria eagerly ran up to the cats.

"Vi, look at them!" She grinned in excitement, petting their noses through the bars. "They're so adorable!" Her feet shuffling only made her seem even more excited.

Violetta gave a nod and kissed the back of Wisteria's head, reaching through the bars to also pet the kitten's nose.

A gentle purring sound rapidly came from the kitten, its fur was a dove gray, sleek and fluffy. And his turquoise eyes stared affectionately up at Violetta.

Violetta snorted softly and turned her attention back to her wife, raising an eyebrow as Wisteria was focused on another kitten.

"She looks just like you.." Wisteria exclaimed, pulling the kitten from the kennel. The young cat was certainly some sort of blonde color, most likely a very light ginger.

Its warm green smith eyes matching up perfectly with Violetta's eyes. The blonde woman then took the kitten from Wisteria's hands and brought it into her embrace. "It really does look like me." She chuckled.

"So?" Wisteria smiled broadly, tapping her feet in anticipation.

Violetta's brow furrowed, "So what?" She asked puzzledly.

"Can we take her home?" Wisteria said.

Violetta's expression turned sour.

"Pretty pleaseee?" Wisteria let a long whine out.

"Well-"

"I'll do anything!" The black-haired woman begged.

"..Oh? Fine." Violetta's facial demeanor turned, now.. a bit more... amorous.
