Ch. 111: Battle At The Battle Chateau!

When we last left our trainers, they had just spotted a large building. It was getting late so they headed back to the Pokémon center.
Kim and the other trainers are about to enter the large building and find out what is inside. Let's find out.

As usual Kim is the first awake with Max not far behind. Kris and Jonathan wake up and join Kim and Max at the breakfast table.

Kim: hey Max, any ideas yet on what that big building is?

Max: no, not yet, I was going to ask Nurse Joy after breakfast.

Jonathan and Kris join them at the table.

Jonathan: hey guys, so what's the plan for today?

Kim: I want to find out what's in that big building. What do you think? Should we ask or just go in the building?

Max: I think we should ask nurse Joy, if she knows where that building is before we barge in to the building.

Kris: what's the fun and that?

Jonathan: Max is right. I'll go ask Nurse Joy after breakfast is over.

Everyone finishes breakfast. Jonathan heads over to nurse joy and asks what that large building is on route 7.

Jonathan: Nurse Joy, um excuse me, but do you know what that big building is on route 7?

Nurse Joy: large building, oh, you must be talking about the Battle Chateau. people will go there for training purposes, a lot of times. I don't know much it's best you go and find out for yourself the rules.

Jonathan: OK thanks !

Kim and the others head over to the Battle Chateau. As they enter, they are approached by an older man and woman.

Older man: excuse me, trainers are you interested in joining us here at the battle Chateau?

Kim: yes I certainly am interested in Battling here !

Kris: me to!

Max: I could use the training!

Jonathan: same!

Older man: we have ranks here that help with sorting people into fair battles. When you first enter you become a Baron, or Baroness. You will need to work your way up to our highest title of grand Duke for Males and grand Duchess for females.

Kim: wow maybe I should come here often for training. I bet I could become grand duchesses in no time. After all, I am a Five region Champion after all.

Older man: we'll see.

Kim: I want to start battling!

Older man: hold on young lady I need to explain the ranking system and the rules here. We use up to six Pokemon in battle. In the beginning most will have one Pokemon each, however the higher you are ranked the more Pokemon you will usually have to face off in battle. New people come in and out all the time. That means new challengers to battle every day! Battling trainers earns you points. The more points you have the higher your rank. We have challengers of all types including Gym leaders and even the Champion Diantha.

Kim: oh wow, this place sounds so cool! I want to eventually get all the way up to the highest rank! What is the Highest rank?

Older man: I am glad you asked that question. First you will need to win a battle to obtain the first title Females are called Baroness. If The trainer is male it would be called Baron. Next rank is Viscountess or Viscount This is reached after 5 points. once you have obtained 30 point the title becomes Earl for males and Countess for females. At 98 points you will obtain the title of either Marquis (Male) or Marchioness.(Female) 295 points will change the title of the person to either Duke (Male) or Duchess. (Female) The Highest rank is Grand Duke (Male) or Grand Duchess. (female) Not Many challengers make it that far so it is still unknown how many points you will need to obtain in order to reach this rank. It is usually obtained by the Champion of the region.
