When we left off it was the day before Kim's birthday. Kim wakes up early the next morning and wishes herself a happy birthday. She start toward the door and is met by Max.
Max: Happy birthday Kim!
Kim: thank you so much Max!
Max: Let's go search for Pokémon at the Safari zone while we wait for May, Kris, and Jonathan!
Kim: well I was wanting to signup for my contest, but ok sounds fun!
Max: tell you what will go register you for some of the contest and then go to the safari zone.
Kim: ok sounds good!
Max and Kim wrote two letters telling where they would be and left them in both rooms so that May, Kris, and Jonathan could find them. The two of them then headed off towards the door of the Pokémon center when May stops them!
May: and where do you two think your going? Birthday Girl?
Max: to the contest hall to register and then to the Safari zone of course!
Kim: I wanted to go register for my contest early. Max wanted the Safari zone. I agreed to doing both why?
May: not without me you aren't!
Kim: that's fine, you can come!
May: awesome! Maybe I'll be able to find myself a Pikachu!
Kim: you know I could breed you a surfing Pichu that you could train up into a Pikachu!
May: yeah that would be nice. But I also want a regular Pikachu as well!
The three of them walk to the contest hall and sign Kim and May up.
Lady at the desk: There is a delay till tonight.
Kim: Ok Then that's fine I can enjoy my birthday this morning and then come to my contest tonight!
May: yeah that means more time to train for the contest!
Kim: yeah your right!
Kim, May, and Max then head to the safari zone.
Lady at desk: welcome to the safari zone, where you can catch Pokémon to your hearts content!
Kim: there's no charge?
Lady at desk: nope not here! Why?
Kim: both the safari zone in Kanto and Johto charged a small fee and gave us special Pokéballs to catch them with.
Lady at desk: we just opened recently!
Max: that's why I didn't remember a safari zone when Ash was here!
May: yeah I'm glad I was able to come with y'all. This Safari zone has a lot of the Pokémon not normally found here in the Hoenn region.
Kim: well why are we wasting time on my birthday, let's go catch some Pokémon!
They enter and start looking for Pokémon. May walks straight into the grass. Max hops on his bike and goes to a different area and finds a Girafarig. Kim looks around to see what Pokémon are available in what area. Max catches the Girafarig.
Kim: man I already have all these Pokémon. I guess I can always just use this time to train my Pokémon!
Kim walks to the same area as May. She is attacked by a Pikachu!
Kim: Pikachu use thunderbolt on that Pikachu!
Pikachu: pika Pi ! (On it!)
Pikachu tries to use the move, but with no luck. The other Pikachu absorbs it.
