Our trainers have just entered Ambrette town. They have to make a decision on where to go next. Let's find out where they chose.
Just like any other morning Kim is up first and Max is not far behind. They head down to breakfast.
Kim: so Max any idea where we should go to next?
Max: according to the map, if we head east from here, we can head to route 9 and something called glittering cave. If we head northwest then will be heading towards route 8 and be one step closer to the Pokémon gym in Cyllage City.
Kim: I think I want to go train more before the gym battle! Aura (Lucario) and I need more training together!
Max: yeah I agree, I could use more training with all my Pokémon! I struggled badly with my battles yesterday at the Battle Chateau!
Kim: I bet Kris and Jonathan will also want to train more as well. Besides there might be more new Pokémon for us to catch on that route. Let's talk more once Kris and Jonathan wake up and come down for breakfast.
Max: ok!
Kim and Max enjoy a large breakfast of eggs, grits, bacon, toast, and orange juice. While they we're eating Jonathan and Kris wake up and come and join them.
Jonathan: Good morning Kim, good morning Max good morning Kris. Hope you three slept well. I know I did!
Kim: yeah I did!
Max: same!
Kris: I slept like a baby!
Kim: so guys Max and I think we would like to go see what is on Route 9 and the Glittering Cave before we head northwest toward the second gym. What do you two think?
Jonathan: most definitely!
Kris: yeah I want to see if there are new Pokémon to catch on that route!
Kim: me too! Well I guess it has been decided we will head east to route 9 and Glittering Cave. Let's finish breakfast so that we can heal our Pokémon and head out!
Kim and the others finish breakfast and then heal their Pokémon. They then head out to the east and enter route 9. When they get there they find that the roads are treacherous on foot because it is rough rocky terrain and that they will need to borrow Rhyhorn to get over the path.
Kim: cool we get to ride Rhyhorn here in Kalos! It's too bad I didn't think to bring one of my Rhyhorn that I caught in Kanto! I could have used it instead of the rental Pokémon. Oh well.
Jonathan: Kim your the only one of us that owns a Rhyhorn.
Kim: oh yeah, I forgot that you and Kris don't have Rhyhorn. I knew Max didn't because he hasn't been to Kanto yet.
Max: yeah but if I find one, I am definitely going to catch it!
Kris and Jonathan: me too!
Kim and the others climb on the back of the rental Rhyhorn. They start to ride. Not long into the ride they are attacked by Pokémon.
