Our chapter begins early the next morning. Kim wakes up early as usual and decides to go check on the boys along with getting a head start on training her Pokémon. She heads out to the cave. There at the shore of route 108 was Max.
Max: Good morning Kim up early as usual I see.
Kim: hey Max, how did you sleep? Is Jonathan still sleeping?
Max: no he is up and training.
Kim: what? He is already up? Where is he?
Max: he is in Granite Cave.
Kim: thanks what kind of Pokémon are you finding on this route?
Max: water Pokémon, like Wailmer, Wingull, Tentcool, Pelipper, and Magikarp. Guess what, I caught me a Wailmer! Want to see it?
Kim: oh cool that's awesome! Maybe lay. Hey maybe I should try and catch me another Wailmar and a Pelipper. I could evolve the Wailmer into a Wailord.
Kim sends out her fishing rod. Suddenly she has a bite.
Kim: woah, hey I got a Pokémon!
Max: already? Man that was quick!
Kim reals it in. It's a Wailmer
Max: woah it's just what you wanted, a Wailmer!
On second look Kim realizes...
Kim: hey it's a shiny! This will be an even better Wailord!
She battles and catches it.
Kim: yes a shiny Wailmer!
She sends out her rod again moments later she gets another bite! She reels it in.
Kim:woah are you seeing what I am seeing?
Max: if what your seeing is a shiny Dratini, then yes.
Kim battles and catches it. It knows extreme speed. She uses Marshtomp's attract and it reveals a girl.
Kim: this is crazy my lucky rod strikes again!
Max: what do you mean Kim?
Kim: well I have caught many Dratini, and Dragonair, and have evolved them into Dragonite
Max: How many do you have?
Kim: this will be my eighth one. The funny thing is that I have caught or was given, at least one in each region.
Max: man I would love to own a Dragonite!
Kim: here try using my rod, maybe it will find another Dratini that you could raise into a Dragonite.
Max: thanks!
* he sends the rod in and indeed finds a Dratini!*
Max: woah, that was quick, it's like this rod can feel and understand what Pokémon you want and get it!
Kim: yeah I sometimes think that does happen! Kris and Jonathan each have a Dragonite and a shiny Dragonair. They were also given a Dratini as well, but that's not what we're talking about here but anyway, They caught the Dratini with my rod and then raised it into Dragonite.
Max: that's amazing! He battles and catches the Dratini.
Kim uses her Marshtomp's attract and it reveals a boy.
Kim: hey Max, let's go find Jonathan!
Max: ok!
They head into the Granite Cave to find Jonathan. Suddenly Kim sees a glow from her bag. A Poké egg hatches and reveals a Azurill.
