Wow our friends are about to go into Chargestone Cave. I wonder what will happen along the way? As usual Kim is up early with Max not far behind her.
Max: good morning Kim, hope you slept well!
Kim: I did Max, thanks for asking!
They decide to eat breakfast. Jonathan and Kris wake up soon after.
Jonathan: come on Kris we need to find Kim and Max so we can continue our adventure!
Kris: I'm coming!
They find Kim and Max in the kitchen having breakfast!
Kim: hey guys you all hungry? The lady made us breakfast! Check it out Pancakes!
Kris: looks good!
Old woman: ah you all are awake! So what are your plans?
Kim: well I want to catch all the Pokémon for a live Pokédex! I need to evolve some of the ones I caught recently.
Old woman: ah maybe I could help you! I could stand a battle!
Kim: sure sounds awesome! We can battle while everyone else finishes up with breakfast!
Old woman: sounds good to me! Let's battle out back!
Kim: ok!
Old so what Pokémon were you thinking of trying to evolve?
Kim: this one!
Out of the Pokéball comes Kim's Deerling.
Old woman: well that's funny here is my Pokémon!
Out of her Pokéball comes a Deerling as well!
Kim: cool oh come on out!
Out comes Shiny Deerling! You can watch our battle!
Old woman: oh wow that's a shiny colored Deerling. I wonder why you aren't evolving that one?
Kim: she is cute and strong on her own, I think she would do better as a Deerling though.
Old woman: to each there own! It's your decision! So let's battle!
Kim: Deerling use energy ball!
Old woman: Deerling use jump kick!
Kim: quick dodge it and then use your jump kick with an energy ball!
Old woman: oh a contest combo, that brings back memories!
Deerling dodges as it released its first energy ball. It then quickly moves to use jumpkick and energy ball combo. Suddenly there is a glow from both sides of the field.
Kim: what? Look they are both evolving!
Old woman: that they are! I had been wondering when mine would evolve! It looks to me that they are both evenly matched! Since they both evolved let's stop the battle here!
Kim: ok sounds good to me! Great job Sawsbuck, return!

It licks Kim.
Kim: that tickles!
Old Woman: Kim you remind me of a young me! Good luck in your journey!
Kim: thanks! Maybe we can battle again sometime!
Old woman: maybe!
