At six o'clock, Jisoo rang Jennie's apartment doorbell. She had been there so many times at completely random times that her entry was fully authorized. Because of her unexpected visits — among many quotation marks — she had become friends with the doormen, the security guards, the cleaning ladies, and she knew several of the publishing house's neighbors.

The building Jennie lived in was luxurious and huge, one of the most expensive in all of Seoul. Everything there was refined and made to demonstrate how much money its residents had. On the handrails of the stairs and in some details of the elevators, the golden color gleamed. In the young assistant's mind, that could easily be made of solid gold, as the price to live there matched decorations involving that metal. If she doubt it, the chandeliers in the entrance hall were made of Swaroski crystals, and the floor that shone as bright as a star was possibly the most expensive ivory on the market.

Even without ever going to where it was, Jisoo knew that there was an almost Olympic-sized infinity pool with blue water. Besides, the ballroom could easily be mistaken for the entrance hall of some luxury Paris hotel. The gym had so many different pieces of equipment, Jisoo didn't even know there were certain parts of the body that could be worked out. The rugs that were laid out in some places were genuine Persian rugs. Not to mention that there were sculptures and paintings by renowned artists scattered throughout.

While all of that always surprised her, nothing compared to the shock she'd had when she'd walked into Jennie's apartment the first time. She was blown away by how big and sophisticated it was. That happened in her first year of work, when the brunette called her at two in the morning demanding that she bring her a big pot of milk ice cream, pads and medicine for cramps. That was just the first time of many that he had to leave at dawn to help her spoiled boss. After that, showing up at that location became commonplace.

After waiting a few minutes, Jennie opened the door with a bowl of cereal in her hands. She didn't say anything, just disappeared into the apartment leaving Jisoo alone. The blonde went to an armchair in the living room and sat down waiting for the madam to return from where she had tucked herself in. It didn't take long and she heard Jennie screaming Jisoo's name. Already prepared for the long day she would have, she went to where the strident voice was coming from.

"What was it this time?" Jisoo asked leaning against the doorframe of the brunette's room and crossing her arms.

"Help me close this suitcase."

"You can't do anything without me, huh?" She went to the brunette who was trying to close the zipper of a huge suitcase. "Why are you carrying something that big? We're just going to spend the weekend there."

"We're staying a week." Jennie continued trying to close the zipper while the blonde struggled to push the clothes inside.

"Why are we staying a week?!" Jisoo asked in surprise. That definitely wasn't part of the deal.

"For you to introduce me to your family as your bride and have time to make them believe it before the interview next week" Jennie looked at her. "Your family will probably be questioned by that immigration officer, we have to make them believe we're a real couple. Our plan has to work."

"Not our plan!" Jisoo started to close the zipper, because Jennie had already given up. "Your plan. I'm just a pawn in your little game."

"Our plan, yes!" Jennie walked away going to her closet and soon came back wearing a coat and with a purse in her hands. "We both have to make it work or we'll both pay for it."

"My God, where have I got myself to?" Jisoo looked to the sky in search of an answer. "What sin have I committed to be going through this?" she took the heavy bag off the bed and placed it on the floor. "I must have been a pretty horrible person in my past life to have to go through this."
