After the joke, a silence invaded the room, each one lost inside themselves because of their own comments.

"I think that when I go back to Seoul, I'll spread the word around the company that the almighty editor-in-chief loves a cafuné in the morning" Jisoo began saying seriously. "I'll say she gets all sly and doesn't even look like she could end someone's life with just a look."

"Don't you dare, Jisoo." Jennie looked at her with narrowed eyes.

"I'm going to say that I had to hold her hand for her to ride the boat, because she was shaking with fear" she continued with her reverie.

"Jisoo..."

"I'll also say that I broke her tough pose" using a little more strength than she used the other times, Jennie pushed Jisoo and that made her slide across the mattress falling to the floor. Jisoo's laugh echoed through the room. "Okay. I won't say anything about my boss."

Throughout the morning they talked a lot of random things and laughed at each other every new thing they discovered. For the first time in her life since her parents passed away, Jennie felt heard by someone, no matter how silly the subject was. Jisoo listened carefully to everything and sometimes asked a few questions showing her interest in the subject.

The party had already started when Jisoo came down from the room dressed up. In the environment, boring and quiet music played while the guests talked to each other. Seeing more than thirty people wandering around the house, the blonde felt nervousness take over her being. If what she was feeling was similar to what brides and grooms felt when asking their mates to marry them, she definitely didn't want to get married.

After talking with her mother and grandmother, Jisoo felt a nudge from Irene who was beside her.

"If you lose this woman, first I'll hit you and then I'll attack her." A wrinkle appeared on the blonde's forehead without understanding the comment and then Bae pointed to the stairs. "You hit the jackpot, cousin."

With an impulse and an awkward smile on her face, Jisoo went to the brunette to help her down the last few steps. Unable to contain herself, she looked her up and down and smiled wider when their eyes met.

It was no surprise to see Jennie dressed impeccably, but to Jisoo, she had surpassed her own beauty level. The brunette wore a red dress with long sleeves close to her body, her usual high heels, a perfectly pressed red lipstick and loose hair.

When she realized that she was overestimating her boss, Jisoo let out a breath with impressive nervousness.

It was right there in the middle of so many people, in front of her family and on her grandmother's birthday that Jisoo realized that she was surrendered by Jennie's charms. Hand in hand, the blonde led her closer to Lisa, Rosé and Irene, but then she was stopped in the middle of the way.

"Jisoo!" a lady came towards her, hugging her. "So much time!"

"A long time indeed," she smiled nervously.  "This is Jennie" introduced the brunette beside her who just gave a smile.

"How is life in Seoul?" she asked curiously.

"Good. Very good."

"Your mother always talks about you and that you're a book editor. I've always wanted to know what a book editor does."

"Jisoo is not a book editor," GD's voice came over the conversation. "Jennie is the editor, Jisoo is her assistant. Why don't you tell us exactly wh"at a book editor does other than take writers out to eat and drink in expensive restaurants?

"That looks like an excellent job."

"Yes, it's," Jisoo replied the lady, not paying attention to her father's words. "Excuse me."
