Six months. Six months have passed since Jisoo ran through the rain to get to the editor. Six months since she got down on one knee and asked Jennie to marry her.
After that second rainy season, Jisoo had practically moved into Jennie's apartment. Every day after leaving the publishing house, they went there and had dinner. When the blonde said that she needed to leave, as it was already late, the editor-in-chief persuaded her in a thousand different ways just for her to stay by her side. Obviously, Jisoo didn't deny it, because she was enjoying sleeping next to Jisoo more and more.
With the blonde by her side, Jennie felt like she was being conquered every day. Jisoo always wanted to know how she was doing or how she felt about things around her, always gave her flowers, took her out to dinner on the weekends, and tirelessly told her how much she loved her. Her bride's words always stirred something deep in her chest, but better than that, she showed it. Despite the gifts and dinners, it was in the details that Ruby Jane was won over.
Wanting to show Jisoo how much she cares, Jennie started showing her love more. As talking about her feelings wasn't her strong point, she dedicated a good part of her time to being with the bride, and that made the blonde feel very important in her life. Gradually, they were building something very strong and intense. Usually they were on the same frequency and when it happened that they weren't, one ended up dedicating a little more to the relationship than the other. Despite the many conversations they had to understand each other as best as possible, sometimes instinct spoke louder. It was very noticeable for both of them when one of them was not well for some reason.
After three months of proposing, Jisoo learned that her book was going to be published. She could barely control her excitement when Jennie handed her the first copy. Automatically, Jisoo's eyes filled with tears and all she could do was hug Jennie in the middle of the office to demonstrate the happiness she was feeling. Among the tears of joy, the blonde told the bride that she would give that book to her grandmother, because she was the person who believed in her the most. Quickly, the brunette agreed with that and even imagined that she would do that.
A week after the first issue, Jisoo rose through the ranks, from assistant to editor. Now, she had her own assistant. When that happened, Jennie had several fits of jealousy. It wasn't anything horrendous or interfering with the bride's work, but she couldn't keep her sulky face away. Whenever that happened, the blonde would pull her into a passionate kiss and reaffirm that she only had eyes for her. A few days later, the brunette wasn't so worried about it anymore, she trusted completely the woman she loved.
Four months after they got back together, they returned to Jeju where they had an engagement dinner. Only the family participated and GD took advantage of the situation to apologize to his daughter and his future wife for his attitudes in the past. Just wanting to maintain their well-being, the two excused him, but made it clear that if he did anything else, there was no more forgiveness.
Grandma Kim, Dara, Irene, Rosé and Lisa freaked out in a thousand different ways when they revealed that they were going to tie the knot in Jeju. The five women offered to arrange everything for them and, this time, they had a bachelorette party where the two would participate — Jennie wouldn't accept doing something without Jisoo being present.
The oldest of the Kim family was the most proud that they were doing everything from the beginning and everything in the open with themselves. The little lady with the snowy hair loved Jensoo so much, she wanted from the bottom of her heart that they knew how to carry on that relationship for many years. The two were happy together, they clearly loved and respected each other, they deserved to have a full relationship.
That weekend at the engagement dinner, after she spent hours watching Jisoo play with her niece, Jennie told her about an urge she was having to be a mother someday. With her face lit up like the sun, the blonde felt even happier, because she wanted the same thing as her future wife. They agreed that after the first year of marriage, they would start to think better about that subject and how they would increase the family. Just like what had happened the day before the fake wedding, Jisoo took Jennie to a picnic in the middle of the clearing to look at the sky. On the way back to the house, the brunette pulled her into the cabin where they had sex for the first time.
