The night before, Jennie had arrived so late from her bachelorette party that she found Jisoo sleeping. The blonde was curled up on one side of the bed as if waiting for her to arrive. Maybe she really tried to stay awake because she had her glasses on. For a long time, the brunette just watched Jisoo sleep. The half-open mouth, the golden hair spread on the pillow and the calm breathing. If she could, Jennie would have spent hours and hours just admiring her, but she was tired.
Although she didn't want to go to any party, she had fun like she had never done before in her life. Taking care not to wake her, Jennie took off Jisoo's glasses and placed it on the desk. Before she lay down, she ran a hand through Jisoo's hair leaving a quick kiss on her cheek. She would love for her to be up just to say a decent goodnight, but it wouldn't be fair to wake Jisoo up after she spent the night having fun while Jisoo stayed home with her grandmother and the kids. So she turned off the lamp and lay down, Jennie had her back to the bride. However, she couldn't resist the uncontrollable urge to hug Jisoo. It was strange for her to want so much to be physically close to a person without it being for a sexual reason, but with Jisoo, despite the desire she felt, she just wanted to allow herself to reciprocate what the blonde did to her without ulterior motives.
When she woke up this morning, it was Jennie's turn to realize that she was alone in bed. It was unusual for her to feel almost sad that Jisoo wasn't by her side. She never thought that someone would be able to leave her like that, but the blonde had done it in a simple, fast and accurate way. Looking forward to receiving even a good morning hug. She changed her pajamas and went down the stairs almost running, however, before reaching the place where Jisoo would probably be - the kitchen - she was stopped by Dara.
"Jennie!" she approached smiling, hugging her "I'm glad you woke up. We need to sort out your dress."
"Oh! Of course!" she reciprocated the hug awkwardly "I... can I have coffee first?"
"Yeah, my dear! It's just that I'm so excited about this" Dara held it in her hands "Eat quietly and then meet Grandma Kim and me on the pier. If things aren't on the table yet, you can ask someone to serve you" Dara was about to leave.
"Dara!" the older one turned to face her "Where's Jisoo?"
"She's with Chaelisa in town."
"Oh!"
"Some problem? Because if you have any, I can help you" she got a little closer "Now you're like my daughter."
Despite having smiled at what she heard, Jennie's heart ached, as the lady in front of her barely knew that marriage was a lie.
"There's no problem, it's just that, well, yeah... I arrived and she was sleeping, I woke up and she's not here" she started playing with her fingers "I couldn't talk to her."
"Have you tried calling her?" despite being a question, for Jennie it was like a suggestion.
"I'm going to do that now" Jennie pointed to the kitchen "I'm going to have my coffee and I'll meet you and grandma."
Dara just nodded with a smile and left the room. Not very hungry, Jennie sat down at the table taking her phone and called Jisoo. While the blonde didn't answer, she poured herself some coffee. A few rings later, a sweet voice made her heart race.
"Good morning, Jendeukie" involuntarily Jennie smiled "Did something happen?"
"No. Nothing happened, it's just that we haven't talked since yesterday, I woke up and you weren't there. I wanted to know if... if it's okay" Jennie felt silly for acting like a teenager in love, but how could she not act like one when it comes to Kim Jisoo?
"I didn't wake you up in the morning, because I wanted to let you rest."
"Your mom told me you're in town."
