Joy stumbled down the stairs. She would take the elevator, but the camera people around made it feel awkward for some reason. As if she was using some sort of advantage that they couldn't. Or maybe it was just too slow. She wanted to seem as if she knew what she was doing at all times.
Once Joy got to the bottom of the stairs she headed straight for the kitchen. She searched the pantry and found a granola bar."Hey, Joy."
Joy whipped around to face her cousin.
"Hi, Nyesha."
The two sat down with breakfast bars.
"What do you want to do today?" Joy asked.
Nyesha shrugged. "What is there to do?"
"Plenty of stuff. We could explore the whole house with Brett and Colton."
"Let's do it."
"Do what?"
Joy and Nyesha glanced back and saw Logan Draining walking towards them.
"And what does it have anything to do with you?" Nyesha asked.
"You mentioned my friend's name." Logan got herself a glass of water.
"Yeah, he is her boyfriend." Nyesha gestured to Joy.
"I liked him first," Logan stuck her tongue out at Joy in a playful manner.
Joy glanced at Nyesha who looked a bit disgusted.
"What are you, two?"
"Man, you are annoying. Who invited you?"
Nyesha rolled her eyes. "I'm in high school. Obviously, I'm going to be here."
"You don't act like you're in high school." Logan took a sip of her water.
"Why not?" Joy asked.
Suddenly the sound of someone loudly running down the stairs echoed through the house. The three girls turned to see who it was. Luke stumbled to the ground then stood up straight.
"Hi!"
"Great timing." Logan set her water down and walked towards Luke.
"I think we won." Nyesha giggled.
Raven weaved through camera people to get outside.
"Oh, hey, Creep." Logan greeted him with a smile.
"Why is everyone out here?"
"Taylor proposed to Elula."
"Oh, is that so?"
Logan laughed. "Kidding; they're giving us some sort of pep talk. Apparently, we need to hurry up the drama."
"Can't rush feelings," Raven frowned.
Logan shrugged. "Tell that to them. If we're not interesting enough they just wasted a lot of money."
"I guess you're right."
Raven stood up on his tippy toes to see Aberham talking.
"I don't want you guys to be acting at all. But don't be afraid to speak your mind or anything like that. We can't have a house full of shy people who can't make a change within a month.
"Do you want us all to break up or something?" Logan asked, annoyed.
Aberham shook his head. "No, but it'd be great if you did."
"Excuse me?! I am not just breaking up with my boyfriend for this show-!"
Aberham held his hands up and Logan stopped. "You don't have to, okay? Just talk to people; especially ones you don't usually talk to. Alright, that's all I have to say."
Logan stepped towards Raven. "Hey, you should break up with Adrian. I bet they'd love that."
"I'm sure they would."
"So you'll consider it?" Logan smiled jokingly.
"Well, this month certainly can't hurt anything," Kirk said to Brendon and Carson.
"Actually Logan might start flirting with everybody." Brendon watched his girlfriend smiling at Raven.
"Oh, I meant for me." Kirk said.
"Yeah, same here." Carson piped up.
Brendon looked at his two friends. "So I'm the only one with anything to lose."
"You're wading in dangerous waters, Peterson." Carson laughed then walked away.
"Where's he going?"
The boys watched Carson stop to talk to Alex.
Kirk raised his eyebrows. "Man, does he want a pay raise."
Brendon chuckled. "Or a girlfriend."
"Both are nice."
"Hey, she has a boyfriend." Lexi stepped over to stand next to Alex.
"And?" Carson asked.
Lexi shared a look with Alex.
"That can change." Carson continued.
"Maybe you should be talking to the guys if you're looking for a significant other," Alex suggested.
Carson paused. "I'm gonna get that a lot, aren't I?"
Alex shrugged. "I wouldn't be surprised."
Carson turned on his heel and walked away.
Lexi chuckled. "I wonder if he's actually gay."
"Of course he is. There are so many signs."
Lexi tilted her head slightly. "Hm. I dunno."
"Well you out of all people would probably know best." Alex said.
"Psh, just because I dated him a year ago? No, he might be in denial."
"Probable. Or just not telling anybody."
Carson frowned to himself. Did that make Alex checked off the list? There were so little options left. Carson stopped when he saw Kimberly talking to Charlie.
Possibility?
Rylen walked inside and found Alex and Lexi sitting on the couch.
"Hey, babe." Rylen plopped down in between them.
"Hi, how are you?" Alex asked.
"Agh," Lexi jumped off the couch and hurried away.
Rylen laughed. "I'm good. You?"
Alex nodded.
Omie sat watching people walk around the room. He liked everyone being in one spot at once, and it was probably better for the show. Maybe they should have made the house smaller.
Omie hopped up and walked towards Poppie; but Lexi got there first.
"Hey."
Poppie turned away from Kaylen and greeted Lexi.
"So uh, how are you?"
Poppie nodded slowly. "Pretty good, I guess. Did you sleep well?"
Lexi looked a bit surprised by this question and took a tad long to answer. "Uh, good. You?"
"I slept great. Way better than at home."
"Is that right?"
Poppie nodded. "Yeah."
"Okay."
Omie chuckled to himself. He then turned and walked away before either of them could see he was spying on them.
