"The very moment everyone is ready, I want everyone to come to the stairs. We'll position you and get pictures. Then you're free to do whatever when Jeremy says. But you're all required to show up at this dance," Aberham glanced in Taylor and Elula's direction. "Show your face at least."
Everyone seemed to understand what was expected of them.
"Alright! You have some time before you get kicked upstairs so enjoy your freedom, I guess. There will be food provided for the dance though, just FYI."
Logan hurried over to Kimberly and grabbed her hands. "We should paint our nails."
Kimberly nodded then the two ran upstairs.
Once they got to Kimberly's room, they sat on the bathroom floor with nail polish.
"I have a perfect purple color that goes with my dress," Kimberly said. "What are you going to do?"
"Gold of course."
The girls grabbed their nail polishes and proceeded to paint their fingernails.
"What are things we shouldn't do or say?" Logan asked after a while.
"We shouldn't look awed by whatever decorations they have. We are the main event, and we know it."
Logan laughed. "As if. We'll probably fade into the background."
"Well, don't. Be remembered. You want people talking about what dress Logan Draining was wearing at the dance on April."
"Too late to give more thought into my dress!" Logan said.
"So you make everything else about you look amazing."
Logan nodded. "And don't make a fool of yourself by talking to a lot of people. How can you make people want to talk to you?"
Kimberly shrugged. "Start twerking on the dance floor."
Logan burst out laughing.
"What kind of food will be provided?" Elula wondered aloud.
"Why don't you ask Aberham?" Raven suggested.
"Oh, so you're calling him by his first name now?" Adrian raised his eyebrows.
Raven looked a bit embarrassed. "I forgot his last name."
"Which is probably why 'Mr.' was invented." Taylor said.
"Too much work to talk to him." Elula dismissed the idea.
"I could ask him if you want." Justin said.
"That's okay, thanks. It'll probably just be finger foods or something."
"Did you consider lobster?" Adrian asked. "What if we all have to sit at the dining room table and have a fancy dinner?"
Taylor made a disgusted face. "Should I practice my manners?"
"It sounds very loose," Raven said. "It will definitely be finger foods."
"I wouldn't mind if it was a fancy banquet," Justin commented.
Elula tried to imagine what that would be like. "Everyone would be so quiet then Brendon would make a joke about it being quiet then everyone would laugh then fall silent again."
Taylor laughed. "And we'd be surrounded by sounds of silverware."
"Maybe it doesn't sound that great." Justin chuckled.
"This show hasn't been too bad so far." Adrian said.
"I've actually enjoyed it." Raven added.
Elula nodded. "Me as well. It's different from living at home but at the same time very similar."
