Day 14

Donk

Brendon rolled over and resituated his covers.

Donk

What was that annoying noise? Brendon slipped out of bed and clutched his head. First, he was woken up, then he got a headrush? Whoever or whatever was making that noise would pay.

Donk

Brendon stomped on the floor. How was Brandon still asleep?

Donk

"That's it." Brendon snatched a T-shirt and left his room. He dodged a surprised camera man and hurried down the stairs to the second floor. Who lived right under him...?

Brendon stopped at a door and waited.

Donk

"Gotcha." Brendon knocked loudly on the door.

After a moment it opened, and Omie appeared in the doorway.

"Ah, of course." Brendon sighed. "What on earth are you doing?"

Omie tossed a small bouncy ball up then caught it. "Was I disturbing you?"

"Oh no, I like annoying noises." Brendon retorted. "What were you doing; throwing it against the ceiling?"

"Mhm."

"Did you forget that other people live in this house?"

Omie squinted slightly. "It may have slipped my mind."

"Be ever so kind and stop throwing your bouncy ball."

"Okay. Anything else?"

Brendon glared at Omie and walked away.

"Hello, Maddi."

"Hi, Brandon!"

"Do you know where Liv is?"

Maddi glanced around. "Probably off with Carson."

"Oh? Are they official yet?"

Maddi nodded. "They sure are!"

Brandon took a second to process this. "That's great."

Maddi smiled at him. It was good that he wasn't jealous. He was truly friends with Liv. At least he didn't seem jealous.

Maddi turned around and almost ran into Rene' and Poppie walking by. They were holding hands and talking about something that must be funny. Maddi felt her face growing hot. Why did they have to parade around like that? Didn't Rene' breakup with Carson because she liked Maddi?

Although a part of her wanted to leave and never see Poppie and Rene' holding hands again, Maddi followed them. What were they talking about? What could Maddi have said to make Rene' date her?

"There's nothing funny about someone getting hurt," Rene' was saying.

"Yeah, but if it's Brendon?"

Rene' giggled. "He didn't seem actually hurt anyway so it was pretty funny."

"That's what I'm saying!" Poppie laughed. The girls stopped in the kitchen.

"I hate breakfast." Rene' said.

"What? Why? There are so many good options."

"That's why!" Rene' exclaimed.

Poppie chuckled. "Here, I'll just make you eat something. And you're going to like it."

"Alright then."
