Day 5

Alex sat down beside Lexi on the couch.

"What's up?"

"Not much, I pretty much just got up."

Alex glanced up to see Rylen approaching them.

"Am I interrupting anything?" He asked as he sat down.

Lexi half scowled at him. "Yeah, kind of."

Alex turned to Lexi. What did she have against Rylen?

"Oh, sorry." Rylen hopped up and walked away.

Alex and Lexi looked at each other for a moment.

"Well, I didn't know it was that easy to get rid of him," Alex laughed. Lexi smirked.

Kimberly spun a random hair pin on her finger. "I'm bored."

"Hey, am I not interesting enough?" Logan rolled her eyes.

"You're not saying anything. It's not like your presence just suddenly makes me entertained."

"Well sorry, but my life doesn't revolve around your entertainment."

Kimberly shrugged.

"Look who's coming," Logan gestured towards Carson, who was approaching them.

"This is what happens when you call him over too much," Kimberly sighed.

"Hi, Kimber."

"Hey."

The three stood awkwardly for a moment.

"Can I talk to you privately for a second?" Carson asked.

Kimberly glanced at Logan. "What can you possibly have to say that Logan can't hear?"

Carson didn't answer.

"Sure, whatever."

Kimberly followed Carson to a more secluded area while camera people went to get every angle of them.

"So would you consider dating me at all?"

"Eh...this question..."

"What do you mean 'this question'? Who else asked you?"

Kimberly shook her head. "Nobody, but how am I supposed to answer that?"

"I just want to know if I have a chance. I don't want to waste my time if you're just going to make fun of me."

Kimberly was about to say no then she stopped to think about it. Would it be so bad to see how Carson is? Maybe he had changed from when she dated him almost 6 years ago. What's the worst that could happen anyway?

"Yeah, I guess you have a chance."

Carson didn't seem to know how to react. "Thanks for answering." He stood for a second then walked away.

Kimberly turned around and found herself face to face with Rene'.

"I couldn't help but hear-..."

"Ugh, creep." Kimberly looked at her in disgust.

"You can't date Carson," Rene' glared back. "It hasn't even been three weeks since him and I broke up."

"Write a song about it." Kimberly smirked and walked away.

Rylen sat with his chin resting on his hand. What to do? He was supposed to be interesting for the cameras. Why couldn't they be interesting for him? Maybe the producers should be making the high schoolers' lives interesting rather than the other way around. What was he supposed to do? Go talk to people he didn't even like? Cheat on his girlfriend just for the TV show? No, their relationship was too good. Rylen guessed he and Alex might be the only couple still together after that month.
