Kimberly woke up to knocking on her door. "What?!"
Logan burst into her room and flung herself onto Kimberly's bed.
"Kimber! Wake up! It's past ten!"
Kimberly rubbed her face tiredly. "So?"
Logan shrugged. "I don't know. But you're not allowed to be mad at me for waking you up. Anyway, I just realized, we don't have plans for our hair tomorrow."
"You don't even have a boyfriend..."
"What are you talking about? That's why I must look perfect!"
Kimberly sighed. "You're way more excited about this dance than any other school dance."
"Because this isn't a school dance. It's going to be professional and on camera, and if my hair looks awful, I'll have the footage to remember forever!"
Kimberly snapped to her senses. "Oh, I totally forgot! We have to be the best-looking girls at that dance, Logan."
Logan nodded. "So, we need to plan how we'll wear our hair."
Kimberly gave a tired smirk. "We could sabotage other people's dresses."
"It'd be on video. Let's play fair so we can be proud for years to come."
"Alright," Kimberly pulled her phone out. "I'll probably do something with my hair mostly down."
"Kimber, you'd look hot with curly hair."
Kimberly stared at Logan for a second. "I can't remember the last time I curled my hair. I wonder why?"
Logan grinned. "I'm going to try to do some sort of complicated bun. Maybe someone on the camera crew could help-?"
"They have no makeup artist; we're supposed to look natural."
"Oh right. So annoying. You can do my hair."
Kimberly shrugged. "I'll try."
Justin walked down the hall, heading for the stairs. He didn't want to take the elevator because he knew Omie was behind him. And there was no way he was going to stand in awkward silence with Omie.
Justin took one step down the stairs and tripped. He had no idea why he tripped, but he was falling.
Justin expected pain but instead someone grabbed the back of his shirt. He regained his footing and turned to face Omie. Justin felt his face grow red.
"Thanks."
Omie gave him a smile, but he didn't look truly happy. It was a polite, 'you're welcome' smile, but also mixed with, 'you're an idiot'.
Omie passed by and made his way down the stairs.
Justin stood still for a moment. He never wanted that to happen again. From then on, he would always take the elevator.
"Tomorrow," Elula started. "We're going to be forced to stick around with people for at least three hours, which is not too long..."
Taylor shrugged. "We'll make it. As far as I know we don't have to talk to anybody."
Elula nodded. "Anyway, we should probably keep today very chill."
"As if we don't always do that."
"Well, no walk."
"Fine by me."
Elula smirked. "Yeah, walks aren't our thing. But it was fun at times."
Taylor shrugged.
"We need an official name for the plant room."
