Day 13

"Hey."

Kimberly turned around to face Logan. "I thought you were ignoring me."

"I thought YOU were ignoring ME."

Kimberly thought for a moment. "That's true. What is it?"

Logan sighed and sat on a barstool. "Well. It's a long story. I'm surprised you haven't heard from Alex," Logan glanced around.

Kimberly sat next to her. "Just explain."

"I was minding my own business, then Alex waltzed up and told me Brendon was cheating on me."

Kimberly raised her eyebrows. "Oh no, I think I know where this is going."

"Pretend to be surprised when I'm done." Logan said. "Anyway, I didn't believe her, but I wanted to find Brendon anyhow. So, I searched all over the house, his room, outside; I even waited outside of a bathroom just to have an awkward moment when Taylor walked out." Logan paused for a moment then continued. "Then finally I walked past a random chilling kind of room or something, and the door was ajar. There was Alex and Brendon making out!"

Kimberly's mouth fell open. "That's a plot twist."

Logan half laughed. "Yeah, so I marched in, and Alex was stupid and so was Brendon..." Logan shook her head. "So, we're done."

"Good. You can't date a cheater."

Logan looked at Kimberly for a second. "Yeah..."

"Well...that's awful. I'm sorry."

Logan nodded. "I'm going to go back to my room now."

Kimberly watched her go. Did this mean they were friends again?

"Well, hello, boys." Elula sat down on the couch with Taylor, Adrian, Raven, and Luke.

"Hi, Elula!" Luke exclaimed.

Taylor put his arm around her. "Where were you?"

"Asleep."

"Understandable." Raven said. "I would still be asleep if it weren't for Adrian."

"What-?" Adrian looked confused.

"I'll explain later." Raven smiled and patted his boyfriend on the shoulder.

Elula leaned over to face Luke. "Where's your girlfriend?"

Luke shrugged. "Why would I know?"

Elula glanced at Taylor, and they shared a look. "Right, she's probably sleeping."

"Mhm."

For a moment there was silence. It wasn't uncomfortable silence, though Luke and Adrian seemed to think differently.

"So, how long is later?" Adrian asked.

Raven grinned. "Oh, Adrian."

"I'm just confused..."

Elula looked at Taylor, but he seemed to be lost in thought. No, he didn't seem to be, he was. What was he thinking about? Was he concerned about something-?

"How have you guys been?" Luke asked.

Nobody answered right away.

"I've been good," Raven spoke up.

"Good." Adrian mumbled.

Luke turned to Taylor and Elula. They nodded.

"Well. Great." Luke sat back again.

Elula laid her head on Taylor's shoulder. "Have you had breakfast?"

"No."

Elula stood up and pulled Taylor to his feet. "We should go out to eat."
