Carlisle and Alice are both in a trance like state unlike anything I've ever seen for the next three days. Edward assures me that it's normal, but I still worry. My house is suddenly very full and I start to get antsy. By the end of the third day, I'm starting to go crazy and decide to start planning out next move.

The next morning I decide to call Bobby Singer, a friend from college. Back then he had theories that we all brushed off as the ramblings of an eccentric, but now I'm not so sure. He might know more about what happened to Jasper, or who to ask.

My call goes straight to voicemail and I almost throw the phone before regaining control. I just need to leave a half way coherent message and hope he gets back to me. I take a deep breath before I start talking to steady my nerves.

"Hey Bobby, this is Charlie Swan. I know it's been a while since we caught up, but I was calling about the theories you had in college. The weird ones about demons and monsters and the like. I've run into some issues here in Forks that I think might be related. Call me back and I can go into more detail if you're interested and I would just love some guidance with this if you're willing."

I hang up the phone and stare out the window at the trees still dripping with the early morning rain. "Charlie."

I whirl around to the bed where Carlisle has been in his trance. "You're awake!" I run across the room and grab his hand. "How do you feel?"

He swallows hard before answering, and pushed himself up onto his pillows. "Like I've been run over by an angry rhinoceros."

I laugh weakly and squeeze his hand. "I'm glad you're awake. You had us worried."

The phone starts buzzing and I glacé over at it before turning back to Carlisle, another question on my lips.

"Do you need to get that?" He asks before I have a chance to speak.

I know the answer is yes because it could be Bobby returning my call, but all I want to do is curl up next to Carlisle and sleep.

I ground and pull away from the bed. "I probably should. But if its not who I hope it is I'm coming right back."

He nods and let's go of my hand as I cross the room and answer the phone. I can feel him still watching me like a hawk as I answer and hear the gravelly voice of Bobby Singer on the other end.

"You say you've got a problem with ghosts Charles? I'm your man. Give me the whole run down and I'll see what I can do."

I sit on the bed next to Carlisle and explains everything as he leans into my chest. Even though things are as messed up as they've ever been, I also feel a strange sense of peace. Almost the feeling as the quiet before a storm and I know that what ever's coming is going to be the biggest storm I've ever faced.
